Fish is a great source of protein, which is important for muscle development and growth. It is also low in fat when compared to other animal proteins, making it an excellent choice for those trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, if you are not used to cooking fish or have trouble finding time to cook during the weekdays, this blog post has the perfect solution! Below are five quick and easy recipes that take less than 30 minutes from start to finish!

Fish tacos

-Ingredients:

You will need white fish, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and tortillas/chips to create this taco dish. Other ingredients can be used as well if you prefer a spicier or sweeter flavor profile!

-Directions:

First cut up the fish into small, bite-sized pieces. Then heat a pan on medium-high heat and cook the fish until it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. While the fish is cooking, prepare your tortillas/chips according to their instructions. Once everything is ready, assemble your tacos by adding fish, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and avocado. If you want, you can also add a sauce such as salsa or hot sauce for an extra kick. Enjoy!

Cilantro-Lime Fish Fillets

-Ingredients:

This dish calls for tilapia fillets, olive oil, lime juice, cumin, garlic powder, and salt.

-Directions:

First, preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Next combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl, except for one tablespoon of lime juice and salt/pepper.

Mix well so that everything is evenly coated with oil, spices, and lime juice. Then place this mixture into an aluminum foil-lined baking dish or greased pan.

Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

Once done, season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!

Asian-Inspired Fish and Vegetables

-Ingredients:

This dish calls for a variety of vegetables, such as bell peppers, mushrooms, snow peas, and green beans. It also requires some basic Asian ingredients such as soy sauce, rice vinegar, and toasted sesame oil.

-Directions:

The first step is to cut all of your vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Then heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.

Once hot, add the vegetables and cook until they are slightly tender but still have some crunch. Next, add the fish and cook for about three minutes or until it is opaque and flaky.

Immediately add the soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil to the wok/skillet and carefully stir together with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook for about 30 seconds more before removing from heat and serving!

Lemon Pepper Salmon

-Ingredients:

This dish only needs five ingredients. You will need fresh salmon, lemon pepper seasoning, salt and black pepper (optional), butter or olive oil, and honey (optional).

-Directions:

The first step is to season your fish with lemon pepper seasoning on both sides before heating up a pan or skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the butter/oil and place your fish in for about five to seven minutes per side (depending on how thick it is) so that it gets golden brown and crispy.

Next, you can optionally drizzle honey over top before serving with lemon slices!

Garlic Shrimp with Parmesan

-Ingredients:

This recipe calls for peeled, deveined shrimp (tails removed), olive oil, garlic cloves, and salt. You will also need some red pepper flakes if you enjoy a spicier meal! Other seasonings can be used as well depending on your preferences.

-Directions:

The first step is to heat up a pan or skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the oil and garlic cloves (whole). Cook for about one minute before adding your shrimp.

Cook until pink all over but do not overcook them since they will become tough! Then remove from heat and serve with parmesan cheese if desired.

Enjoy!
