Why Everyone Should be a Foodie
Everyone should be a foodie. Food is a way to connect to people, a way to relate to people you otherwise wouldn’t interact with. Food, and an enjoyment of it, is one of the few universal things. Food allows you to understand the essence of a culture, a community, or a family. Food has drawn people together throughout the centuries and continues to do so in our ever-shrinking world. Being a foodie allows you to connect to a vast array of people who share the same passion as you and are always willing to try new things.

Ham Roll-ups
Do you ever need a simple quick appetizer that would be suitable for children as well as a hit with the adults? What about those with restrictive diets? Ham Roll-ups are quick, simple to make, and doesn’t require much in the way of prep time or ingredients. This recipe is also nut, shellfish, egg, and gluten free. It does however contain dairy, meat, and possible preservatives. However, I have included alternatives to help those with more restrictive diets (vegan, organic, kosher, soy free, dairy free, low sodium, budget friendly, etc). Depending on Diet this can be considered a Low Calorie Recipe. Feeds 5-10.

Diet Basics: Not All Fats Are Equally Bad (Apparently)
It's always a bit weird for someone like myself to discuss health and diet. Frankly, I am not very healthy and, at best, might consider myself a work in progress. Really, I should emphasize that this article is largely what I gather based on life experience, knowledge, articles I've read, and some elements of folk knowledge.

The art of cooking
Having grown up in a Mexican, German and Norwegian household. All these cultures, cuisines, and flavors binding into one. Made me realize my love and passion for cooking at the age of 4. My aunt would watch me on the weekends. And we would have different ethnic nights, every Saturday. It would go from British, to Spanish, Indian, German, Thai, French, you name it. Being creative, and expressing how you feel, from your cooking, It's simply an art, and brings the joy in bringing people together. Having others react to your style, your spin on different dishes. There's no other feeling in this world. My parents would always be working, and I would make dinner, try unique recipes. With whatever we had in the fridge. Made me realize, you can do so much, with so little. Even at a young age. It's also all about seasoning and savor the flavor.

The soup was so delicious that it was a favorite of Ivan the Terrible.

What is CHEESE?
What is CHEESE? I am totally guilty of being one of those people who associate cheese primarily with that orange-yellowish stuff that comes automatically wrapped in a piece of plastic coating that’s damn near impossible to remove without tearing up the contents to shreds. Whew… That’s a mouthful. And not a mouth full of cheese.

Peaches: Past and Present
I have something my grandchildren do not: memories of my grandparents involved in my everyday life. There are many reasons this is so. My grandmother worked at home and church and not for a salary, my grandparents lived ten miles from my home instead of 200+ miles away. These are two of the differences that come to mind.
