The Complexity of Simple Food
In the eyes of many people food is no longer purely a fuel source, yet an opportunity to experience something new or bizarre. Modern cuisine caters to the ever expanding desire to push the boundaries of the label food. Re-constructed, de-constructed and artistic interpretation of meals from humble origins now fill menus across the world. Simple food should be pushed to new levels and people’s expectations should be pushed, like most things change is good for the human soul and culture. Experimenting fires new tastes and flavours that re imagine the core beliefs of the simple foodie. How many people have been bought to tears over new flavour of cheese soufflé is a different question. The dinner table after all, like the stage, is one of the few places where someone can show skill, passion and the desire to create a feeling in someone else. Even if the feeling is simply as being fuller than when they walked in. Someone trying a new recipe for the first time will often go into a completely new mind set, worrying about the strangest little things from “is this carrot too long?”to “is my flakey pastry flakey enough?”. Above all else cooking for many people is that escape, the simple act of focusing on one thing, the meal.

Writing a Solid Foodie Review
I am a Foodie at heart, so reviewing eateries is an extreme passion of mine. I love doing an honest and complete review to accomplish one of two things; leading customers to great places or steer them from the ones that may be potential disasters. However, there is a fine line between being informative and being overly informational. The last thing you want to do in any type of review is seem bossy or directive in a negative manner.

Grits and Oranges- Stuck in a homeless world you have to wonder on the day to day bases. What are you eating tonight? The city and local charities fight to get all vitamins in you on a daily bases. Thinking about what to eat should never be the worry. I was at this one shelter through pandemic times, actually a little after. I got served an normal, but unusual dish like you wouldn't believe. It was breakfast time in Pittsburgh the place would prefer to stay anonymous. I had just turned Twenty-Eight and could not believe that the girl was getting back with could leave me on the street. She said there was an emergency, than when I got there she had left with her ma to go to another part of America. Shocks me still to this day. As the saying goes "Back to the Grits."
