I Finally Found a Brand of Tea I Like

It was challenging, but I found a brand of tea that I really like.

I Finally Found a Brand of Tea I Like

Almost everybody loves and drinks tea. Since there are so many different brands available, the selection is quite challenging. People might spend a considerable amount of time in the tea aisle in the grocery store trying to decide which one to purchase.

My problem has not been which brand to purchase. My problem has always been how to get the tea as sweet as I want it without making it too sweet or not sweet enough. I used to add too little sugar or sugar substitute, or I would add too much. It didn't matter whether it was Lipton, Nestea, Tetley, Luzianne, or some other well-known brand that has been around for many years.

Some people find it easy to make good tea. It took me a long time to discover how to make tea to my own liking. For the life of me, I cannot make good Tetley tea like a friend of mine. She lives too far away for me to visit her every time I want to satisfy my thirst with a tall glass of cold Tetley tea.

I was so happy when I found Lipton Southern Sweet Tea that has the sweetener in the tea bag. There is no more measuring and adding more sweetener. All I have to do is pour hot or boiling water over one of the large tea bags, and let it steep for about three minutes. Then I add ice cubes. I like the nutritional value of this particular tea.

Perhaps it didn't take you as long as it took me to find a favorite tea. When most tea drinkers discover a brand they like, they tend to stick with it. I am sticking with Lipton Southern Sweet Tea that is pre-sweetened. It is very quick, easy, and convenient to prepare.

Tea Statistics

According to research, tea is the most widely consumed drink in the world coming behind water. It is the only beverage commonly served hot or cold, anytime, anywhere, and on any occasion.

Over 159 million Americans drink tea on a daily basis. The beverage is found in almost 80 percent of all households in the United States. Tea is consumed in other countries as well. About four in five people drink tea, and 87 percent of them are millennials.

Approximately 85 percent of all the tea consumed in America is iced rather than hot. The percentage of tea drinkers is rather high, because it is a popular substitute for sugary soft drinks. The South and Northeast regions have the greatest number of tea drinkers. Iced sweet tea is especially popular in the Southern United States. I live in the South. That's why my family and friends find it hard to believe I didn't know how to make my own sweet tea, especially when it is so simple to prepare. A pitcher of iced tea is on almost every table in the South along with a good Sunday dinner after church services.

Southern cooks say they simply add sugar, syrup, or an artificial sweetener to black tea. Some people like their sweet tea flavored with lemon. However, that is optional. It is better to serve the lemon on the side for individuals to add their own instead of putting the wedges in the pitcher of tea, because some people in the group might not like lemon in their beverage.

Tea is available around the country in all grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, soda fountains, in some companies' vending machines, and in most households.

Enjoy your next glass of iced tea, because I will enjoy my next glass now that I have gotten the hang of preparing it.
