This is turkish food. Some people compare Turkish kebabs to savama and gyroscope because they are made of similar meat, but the actual method and shape are somewhat different. Turkey kebabs are usually served as sandwiches or wrapped in large skins (a popular flat bread in the Middle East), also known as Turkey; Savama is placed on the tortilla (but the difference between the two becomes blurred). As for the gyroscope, it is usually eaten with Arabian bread. These three decorations are also very different. The top decoration changes little, while the Turkish barbecue and shavama decoration have different decoration. There are a variety of salad ingredients, such as carrots and red cabbage. Mint is also available. There are different combinations of sauces, even chili sauce.

History

In the 18th century travel story, the Turkish kebab refers to a dish in Anatolia. The staple food is sheep on a rotating fork and baked over the fire. Traditionally, this dish is served with mutton, rice, butter and green pepper chili sauce. The original form of Turkish barbecue is "altu barbecue kebab", which can still be seen in many Turkish cities. "Ortu" is a small town near Erzurum, Turkey. The initial shape is a thick piece of meat, cooked and chopped on the floor, and then the meat is inserted into an L-shaped string and cooked. The prototype of the modern kebab was invented in bursa, Turkey, in the 19th century.

Today, kebabs are usually eaten as sandwiches on Arabian bread, which began in Istanbul in the 1960s. Turkish barbecue was invented in Berlin, Germany in 1971 and is now edible all over the world. She improved the original Turkish barbecue by adding salads and sauces to make it more suitable for German tastes. Since the 1980s, kebabs have been the most popular fast food in Germany.

General ingredients and cooking methods in Turkey

The meat slices roasted in Turkey are sheep, beef or chicken, but because they originated in Turkey, as a Muslim country, pork is not used as barbecue material. After the mad cow disease incident, roast fish was also used as an ingredient for barbecue. A typical kebab sandwich consists of roast meat, shredded lettuce and Turkey bread. Sauces include chili sauce, garlic yogurt and vanilla yogurt, and goat's milk cheese is used as filling in some places.

Turkish kebabs all over the world

Turkish barbecue is now popular in Europe, Canada and many other big cities, most of which are based on German improved rotary barbecue. In many western countries, kebab is a popular evening snack. Kebab restaurants often open later to meet the needs of night travelers.

In Germany, Middle Eastern cuisine, barbecue, Turkish bread and falafel are more popular than hamburgers and sausages and are very popular among the younger generation (locals call it "d ö ner" and Chinese usually call it "Turkish roujiamo"), and many young people use barbecue for lunch and dinner after night tours. In Berlin, for example, prices range from € 1 to € 4.50. There are many kinds of barbecue, one of which is the "MIT Apple kebab". It is similar to the general barbecue in Turkey, but the vegetable filling is replaced by French fries. Some Turkish barbecue grills use French fries instead of Turkish bread. Some are served with salads and meatless dishes, known in German as "vegetarian Döner".

In Turkey, German kebabs are despised by locals, but in the southern coastal area dominated by tourism, many tourists demand "real" kebabs, but ironically, what they want is actually German. Turkish kebabs are not real; Many tourist areas also sell German kebabs as sandwiches, even replacing the traditional dishes that have become the mainstream. The authentic barbecue as the main dish (soaked in salt water before barbecue, without bacon, with authentic Arabic bread and sauce as seasoning) can still be seen all over the country. I tasted authentic barbecue in akbıyık döner restaurant in Izmir, where the barbecue was sent directly from the slaughterhouse, which was very fresh. And this restaurant is very good at handling meat. The roast steak is also very good. It tastes unique with beef and pumpkin sauce. But in fast food, more and more German kebabs are called "döner sandvi ç" or "ekmek ARASı", which is a bread based (non Arabic) bread decorated with barbecue and salad (tomatoes, onions, lettuce and pickled cucumbers), but without sauce. I haven't tried this kind of fast food, but I have eaten Turkish pizza in domino's pizza fiyatları restaurant. It doesn't matter. I recommend it.
