1- In IVF, the first step is to have consultation with physician. The physician will give you an idea about the treatment plan. The next step will be basic blood tests for the couples and male partner needs to do Semen Analysis. The treatment commence from Day 1 of the period, we will perform estradiol blood test or ultrasound on the same day. From Day 2 of cycle, we will start the medication for stimulating the ovaries to produce more oocytes. The medications will be in the form of injections. Common hormones used to stimulate the follicles are FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luteinizing Hormone). The patients will visit the clinic frequently in order to monitor the growth of follicles. Around 10 to 12 days the medications will continue. Towards the end of stimulation, when the follicles reached the optimum size, we will give the trigger injection and will do the oocyte retrieval after 34-36 hours. IVF Clinic Dubai

2-Oocyte retrieval is a day procedure where oocytes are retrieve from ovaries by giving a general anesthesia that takes about 20-25 minutes. On the same day, male partner has to produce the semen sample for IVF procedure with the abstinence of 2-5 days. ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) will be perform on the same day of oocyte retrieval. Fertilization will be perform the next day. If the patients, endometrial lining and E2 value is normal we will be performing the embryo transfer on day 3 or day 5 of the retrieval. Embryo transfer is a very simple process that will takes about 5 minutes without any sedation. The number of embryos will be transferred to the uterus will be depending upon the age of the patient. After embryo transfer, the excess embryos will be cryopreserve for future attempts. The pregnancy test will be carry out after 2 weeks from the day of transfer.

3- IVF laboratory is the important part of the IVF procedure. IVF lab and services place a major role to help the patients in their journey on becoming a parent. We have all specialized laboratory equipment for IVF procedures. ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) it is one of the effective technique for improving the chance to get pregnant. We are doing Genetic Screening Tests also for the embryos to rule out any chromosomal abnormalities, genetic disorders as well as for family balancing before transferring the embryos to the uterus.

AFTER TREATMENT

Once the patient is pregnant, we will repeat Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin Hormone Test after 48 hours. After 6 weeks of pregnancy, we will perform viability scan. We will monitor the patients until 12 weeks of pregnancy then we will refer them to the Ob-Gyne Doctors for further monitoring until delivery.

IUI JOURNEY

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is one of the most commonly used Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) to treat infertility. It is the process of placing washed sperms, through the cervix, into the uterine cavity. The IUI procedure bypasses the cervix and place the sperms directly into the uterus, closer to the fallopian tubes, around the time of ovulation. This way, there is a better chance that more sperm will make their way and reach the egg.

First, the sperm needed for IUI can collect by masturbation into a sterile glass or plastic cup that is provided in the clinic. An abstinence period of 3-4 days is advisable prior to IUI. The sperm characteristics (count, motility and morphology) for the man should be in the normal levels (WHO criteria) are only recommended for IUI.

IUI can done in a natural cycle or in conjunction with controlled ovarian hyper-stimulation. Follicular growth will monitor by ultrasound at regular intervals and the trigger injection is given once the follicles have reached the optimum size. IUI will perform near the time of ovulation. The semen sample will process, to concentrate the sperm and remove the seminal fluid (seminal fluid can cause severe cramping in the woman). The IUI procedure is relatively simple and only takes a few minutes. The woman lies on a bed and the clinician inserts a speculum into her vagina to see her cervix. An IUI catheter (soft narrow silicone tube) will insert through the cervix into the uterus and the washed semen sample will slowly inject into the upper uterine cavity. After the procedure patient will lay down for 30-45 minutes.
