Sometime in the distant past, an Indian tracker fabricated himself a house in an extraordinary timberland, far away from all his clan, for his heart was delicate and kind, and he was exhausted of the foul play and savage deeds of the people who had been his companions. So he left them and took his better half and three youngsters, and they traveled on until they tracked down a spot close to an unmistakable stream, where they started to chop down trees and prepare their wigwam. For the majority of the years, they resided calmly and joyfully in this protected spot, never leaving it but to chase the wild creatures, which served them both for food and garments. Finally, notwithstanding, the tough man felt wiped out, and after a short time, he realized he should kick the bucket. So he gathered his family around him and said his final words to them. 'You, my better half, the friend of my days, will follow me until many moons have wound down to the island of the fortunate. In any case, as far as you might be concerned, O my kids, whose lives have nevertheless recently started, the mischievousness, horribleness, and thanklessness from which I escaped are before you. However, I will go accordingly in harmony, my kids, assuming that you will guarantee to generally adore one another and never spurn your most youthful sibling.

'Never!' they answered, holding out their hands. What's more, the tracker passed on happily.

Hardly eight moons had passed when, similarly as he had said, the spouse went forward and followed her better half; yet prior to leaving her youngsters, she bade the two senior ones consider their commitment never to spurn the more youthful, for he was a kid and frail. And keeping in mind that the snow lay thick upon the ground, they tended him and treasured him; however, when the earth showed green once more, the core of the young fellow mixed inside him, and he yearned to see the wigwams of the town where his dad's childhood was spent. Consequently, he opened his entire being to his sister, who replied, 'My sibling, I comprehend your yearning for our individual men, whom here we can't see. However, recall our dad's words. Will we not look for our own delights and fail to remember the little one?' Yet he wouldn't tune in, and, making no answer, he took his bow and bolts and left the hovel. The snow fell and liquefied, yet he stayed away forever; and finally the core of the young lady developed cold and hard, and her son turned into a weight in her eyes, till one day she talked in this manner to him: 'See, there is nourishment for a long time to come. Remain here inside the asylum of the cottage. I go to look for our sibling, and when I have found him, I will return here.' Yet when, after hard traveling, she arrived at the town where her sibling stayed and saw that he had a spouse and was cheerful, and when she, as well, was looked for by a youthful courageous, then, at that point, she likewise failed to remember the kid alone in the woodland and thought exclusively about her better half. Presently, when the young man had eaten all the food that his sister had left him, he went out into the forest and accumulated berries and uncovered roots, and keeping in mind that the sun sparkled, he was satisfied and had his fill. Yet, when the snow started and the breeze wailed, his stomach felt unfilled and his appendages cold, and he concealed himself in trees all the evening and simply crawled out to eat what the wolves had abandoned. What's more, before long, having no different companions, he looked for their organization and sat by while they ate up their prey, and they developed a relationship with him and gave him food. Furthermore, without them, he would have passed on in the snow.

In any case, finally the snow softened and the ice fell upon the extraordinary lake, and as the wolves went down to the shore, the kid pursued them. What's more, it happened one day that his older sibling was fishing in his kayak close to the shore, and he heard the voice of a kid singing in the Indian tone —

'My sibling, my sibling!

I'm turning into a wolf.

I'm turning into a wolf!'

Also, when he had so sung, he cried as wolves cry. Then the core of the senior sank, and he rushed towards him, crying, 'Sibling, younger sibling, come to me, yet he, being a portion of a wolf, just proceeded with his tune. Furthermore, the stronger the senior called him, 'Sibling, younger sibling, come to me,' the swifter he escaped after his siblings the wolves, and the heavier developed his skin, till, with a long wail, he evaporated into the profundities of the timberland. Thus, with disgrace and misery in his spirit, the senior sibling returned to his town and, with his sister, grieved the young man and the wrecked commitment till the end of his life.
