Single Parent
Have you ever thought about what else this world would throw us? For me, I would love for us to get a redo on this year, I love my solitary just as much as the next. What I don't like is being forced into solitary confinement in my own home due to this pandemic. Now, with having an only child in the house being forced into solitary makes things hard. There have been times when I want to send her to her aunt’s up in Washington for a month or two just so I can get things on my plate done. But then I think, I miss my little one and that I love her goofiness. How she likes to dance and shake her little booty in a weird funny way. So I keep her with me and multitask like no other. Starting the 12th she will be out for the summer. No more school for the summer, so more fun activities to do if things open up.

Pre-Quarantine
My last normal weekend was March 6th through 8th. My son and I always have movie nights on Fridays. I am a single mother with three jobs, but always made sure I had Tuesdays and Fridays off specifically for my son. Tuesdays are discounted movie theatre ticket days. Cheap tickets, a bucket of popcorn and a large Coke to share was our night out. Fridays consisted of stopping at Wal-Mart to rummage through their $3 to $5 movie bins, then a stop the Dollar Tree for snacks, then home to watch the movie we just picked out and eat junk food for dinner. These were our nights in, and they were my favorite. You have to enjoy the little things right?

She's my Elleeanna
Born on Valentine's Day of 2009, Elleeanna came with unimaginable challenges. At first, when she was 11 months old and still unable to sit up on her own along with not even trying to make any sounds, I became worried. At her check-up, I asked the doctor, almost every visit until the doctor finally referred her to an ENT, little did I know that was just the beginning of our long journey. The test showed some abnormality and she needed further testing.

Depriving Our Children
I took my nieces on a camping trip to Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona, Arizona last weekend. They rarely have the opportunity to get out of the city and I want to expose them to nature as much as possible in the hope that they will grow to appreciate the natural world.

Estrangement between a mother and adult child.
"Estrangement" This subject is not easy to talk about for anyone that is going through it. But there are thousands of parents dealing with this growing trend every day. I am about to share my story with you in hopes that you find that you are not alone. If? You are presently going through this you have an idea of what I am about to say. Most parents that are estranged from an adult child have had no explanation for why. Most go on for years with no contact whatsoever. This seems to become a trend these days. Our new generation of young people thinks this is the way you are allowed to treat your parents.
