As a society, no matter your age, we are always on our phones. There is very little that we do that doesn't involve technology. I am just as guilty myself. But I really want to spend some quality time with my daughter, that is away from devices. So I made a fall bucket list, filled with quality time activities for us to do together. You can ask your family as well, to get them involved. The goal is to accomplish the list before winter comes. Then you can always do another one for winter. Here are some ideas of what you can put on your fall bucket list.

1. Go to the pumpkin patch

There are so many things you can do at a farm. Such as picking up a pumpkin, going through a corn maze, and getting some great baked goods from the farm. If you have not done it with your kids, then you need to. It's a great experience of quality time you can do with them.

2. Baked some fall goods.

Some good fall baked goods are apple pie, pumpkin pie, apple fritters and pumpkin bread, to just name a few. It's something that you can do with your kids, try to get them involved as much as possible. And you can even get them to pick out what you are going to make.

3. Carve the pumpkin and roast pumpkin seeds.

Once you pick out a pumpkin, you of course have to carve it. You can either carve it, or you can get stickers if you don't want your kids to handle a knife. Stickers will be better for younger children.

4. Take a walk to look at the fall leaves.

Nothing better than getting your kids outside to enjoy the fresh air, and get some exercise in. Most kids have to be more active now a days, with so much of their activites inside. So get them outside to take in the fall view.

5. Give to charity and/or volunteer.

Helping other people who need it not only helps them, but also makes you feel good as well. It's also important to teach our children that as well. Especially in a society that is all about what you have, we need to make sure we teach our children to also help those who need it.

6. Do a Halloween scavenger hunt.

Making a scavenger hunt for your kids is a great activity that you can do with them. If you are not doing trick-or-treating, it's a great alternative. Where they can have some fun and get some candy as well.

7. Do trick-or-treating.

I understand that in the pandemic, there are most likely most people that are not going to do trick-or-treating. If it is an important tradition, and your area is not doing it, maybe just do it to houses that you know like family and friends.

8. Watch your favorite Halloween movies.

Whether it be Hocus pocus, Casper or Nightmare before Christmas; there is nothing like a good movie night together. Halloween movies are a tradition that you can share with kids. Traditions from your childhood. We all have movies that we need to watch each season. I know that I have to watch Casper and Hocus pocus at least once every season. Though I know that the movies are different to each person.

9. Learn to make something that you can give as a gift.

If you haven't already started thinking about Christmas, then you need to. It will be here before you know it. But most people are really rethinking what they value. Instead of getting them something that doesn't mean a lot. Then make them something, and try to give them something that they will use. Such as cookies or cocoa bombs. Sometimes something homemade can be the best and most meaningful gift.

10. Make a Halloween specific treat.

You can make some Halloween cookies. Just get some Halloween themed cookie cutters. Then you can decorate them with your kids. Or if you aren't much of a baker, you can get spooky gingerbread house kids. Which would also be a great activity you can do with your kids, and let them decorate it.

I hope these have given you some ideas. Try to make your list a family activity that you can do without technology as a family. Try to make as many of them being outside activities to try to get them family outside and get some exercise. I think we can all use some good quality time with our family. Really make sure that you are using your time with who and/or what really matters to you.
