High School vs. College
High school, like for many, was not a memorable time for me. It was actually the worst four years of my life, rather than teaching me about English and literature, I learned about the wonders of a common high school boy and how to professionally open a jammed locker. When you're in high school, graduating seems impossible. The SATs are a complete waste of time but are the main reason for stress for most students. The SATs determine so much yet factor in so little as to the diversity of education and the fact that everyone learns and interprets things differently. But that's something for another time.

My first year at University has just finished. I study Drama and Theatre at the University of Lincoln and I have loved every second of it. It has not been a breeze and there have been moments when I have thought about packing my bags and heading home but now that I've stuck it out, I honestly can say that I am so happy.
Becky GaskellPublished 6 years ago in EducationBreaking Barriers
A few years ago, I decided I wanted to go back to school and become a teacher. After a few years of feeling stagnant at my then safety job, it hit me one day that what really lit me up was watching kids learn and develop. I felt I was gifted at raising them up, and I couldn’t think of a better feeling than being surrounded with opportunities to help young people discover the world and themselves. Starting a new career path at 30 wasn’t that scary. Mature students, as they call us, are quite abundant these days.
Chelsea RaePublished 6 years ago in EducationThe Hardships of a Full-Time College Student with No Job
I've been a student at College of Southern Nevada since Spring of 2016. I am a Psychology Major and I am determined to earn my Associates Degree in Psychology. I later hope after graduating at College of Southern Nevada that I transfer to The University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earn my Bachelors of Psychology and my Masters of Psychology. Though that is definitely a challenge that I have to face. I use Financial Aide Pell Grants and my scholarship from The Veterans Affairs Chapter Thirty-Five benefits. I only have a certain amount of time to go to school and once I turn twenty-six years old, I have to be done with college and have a career in Psychology.

Study + Instagram = Studygram
Studygram, a clever portmanteau of "study" and "Instagram," in its simplest form is a study motivation page. Studygrammers share pictures of their notes and study spaces to inspire students around to the world. If you are scrolling on Instagram, when you should be studying for that test next week, a sudden studygram post could motivate you to get off the phone and go study!
The Ten Best Free Foreign Language Apps
Simply open the app store on your smartphone and type “free (target language) app,” and you’re bound to get a lengthy list. But some apps are better than others, even when you factor in learning style and skill level. Here are ten of the best free foreign language apps, according to multiple sources:
Becky ObergPublished 6 years ago in EducationHow to Find and Apply for College Scholarships
The second started applying to colleges back in high school, my first thought was how was I going to apply for scholarships. My friends were starting to get a bunch of scholarships that either covered a large part of their school's tuition or gave them a full ride to school overall. I really wanted to save money and avoid paying for the full tuition, but I didn't know where to start looking for scholarships.
