Over the year I know I have brought you some disturbing stories happening all over Nigeria, but I think that in all my months of bringing you stories, I haven’t yet brought one that is as disturbing as the one today.

When I stumbled upon this story and read it, I was HORRIFIED. I knew immediately that I had to share it with you so I went digging for as much information as I could find about this case and the more that I found, the worse it was.

So today, I’ll be telling you a story of pure evil and I hope you brace yourself because this one – this one is very hard to read.

Joy

Months ago, a young girl named Joy went to Sokoto Cinema Area in Sokoto North Local Government Area, Sokoto at the very tender age of 12 to live with her uncle and aunty, Mr Bassey Emmanuel and Mrs. Esther Emmanuel.

That was months ago. Fast-forward to today and these two people who were supposed to take care of Joy are now being arrested for CAGING joy in their compound for EIGHT months without giving her food or water.

According to police who came to the scene and eventually rescued Joy,

They kept the girl in a cage at their compound and starved her of food for eight months.

When our men broke the door of the cage, the girl was too frail to walk because she was emaciated.

We met her in a very horrible situation, urinating and excreting inside the cage.

The girl was taken to the specialist’s hospital for treatment.

Do you want to see the cage in question by the way? It’s worse than you think! Here it is:

These were the pictures released by the police and what is being inferred is that hidden inside that zinc setup, they put young Joy inside the fridge and locked her there for eight months. What kind of evil is this?

When asked why on earth they would do something like this, the perpetrators of the crime Mr and Mrs. Emmanuel said that they locked Joy inside the cage because she was “mentally unstable”. A later investigation by the police proved that Joy was in fact not at all mentally unstable and was actually of sound mind.

Both Joy and the suspects will be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person and other Related Matters (NAPTIP).

When contacted, the Sokoto State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abubakar Sanusi confirmed that the two perpetrators of this heinous crime are actually in police custody and will pay dearly for the actions they took against this young woman.

You guys, I have never read a story like this before. Especially reading the story while looking at the pictures of what they did to this young girl, people are horrible. Words cannot explain how much evil must be in somebody’s heart to do a thing like this. Please be careful my people! There is evil in this world. There is serious wickedness and people are doing any and everything these days, especially during these times. I beg of you, stay safe. Shine your eyes and keep watch.

Nawa for this world!

That’s All.
