Working for money

the illusion of earning

I have tried many websites and many apps for online earnings but have badly failed. Like everyone on the earth, I also want a living with financial freedom. Although I work for a semi-government organization, at the end of every month I am short on my expenses. Being a father of five children, I have the realization that I have to give them health, education and everything. I therefore decided to work virtually as it is the order of the day - a fashion which is whirling around us. I tried Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer and many such websites claiming fair and competitive online earnings, but my efforts went in vain. Then, I tried some Q&A portals and so many such websites and applications; wrote my own blogs but gained nothing in return. As for skills for earning are concerned, I can only write but played games for earning, did little tasks as well on Swagbucks, Cambly, Teluna, Surveys and a lot.

Like the real world, the virtual world is also full of thugs, cheaters, scammers, impostors, fake influencers, fake empaths, fake motivators and false friends etc.

The other trend I cannot understand is Cryptocurrency. What they people want to do, you would also go crazy as much as you would think of it. They show you such phantasms that after sleeping at a night when you are awake, you will be rich. In particular, young people worldwide are being crypto-maniac. This is the biggest concern of this era. What will they do as they grow old?

We have also been told that this is the age of Artificial Intelligence - The BIG AI. We see tools, this one, that one. You write and check for another tool. Having been checked, you go to another tool. It suggests something else. You get yourself corrected there. Then you come to the same tool, it suggests you more corrections. So, it is all whirling as such.

Shortcuts have become so common. Everything seems Wangle-Finagle Management. Almost everybody is in a hurry. So they want to have tactics to earn virtually in the name of skills. On the other hand, the fact is, most websites also promote those who are making the mess.

They have made another hell on the earth i-e "Virtual Hell". Once Jean-Paul Sartre said, "Hell is other people", but today, it seems "Hell is Virtual World".

We are living in a so-called digital world, being prisoners in millions of online earning illusions around the world. The dream of financial independence, flexible schedules, work from home, remote work is throwing us in the dark. In the name of opportunities, we are just nurturing frustrations. In the name of comfort, we are losing peace of mind.

This has all happened due to the rise of the internet. Websites, web portals, applications, blogging platforms, and social media, are all promising you riches overnight – DO LITTLE, EARN BIG. There is a flood of such illusions, and we are floating away, drifting off and almost drowning. We have begun to believe in hyperreality rather than reality. Running after lucrative virtual careers, we are bringing up the hate of our little but safe jobs and small entrepreneurship and scarifying our smallest happiness, pleasures and bliss available at our home. As much we engage ourselves in the Gig age, so more we potentially collide with isolation and loneliness. We do not even interact with each other, living together in a home.

One who is honest, genuine and conscientious can easily be prey to these virtual monsters. I am writing this post to share my emotions. If you feel likewise, do share your virtual experience in comments.
