If life is likened to a drift - and it is, for some it is a drift over many places, for all it is a drift over the river of time - then what is home?

Home is a boat

In the southern water town, I paddled on the lake. A fishing boat was approaching, smoke curling from its kitchen. As the ship approached, I smelled it

The smell of food, the sound of children laughing. Then it dawned on me that the boat was the fisherman's home.

Isn't it too turbulent to call a ship home? However, I have seen the fishermen take it easy and behave in a calm manner, and the boat, though small and equipped with food and shelter, is indeed a home.

Then I thought, to us, home is not a ship? This is a small boat, but to carry us through what a long time. Time will not go back, the front is always unfamiliar waters, but because in this familiar ship, we do not feel strange. Sometimes the wind is calm, sometimes the waves are rough, but as long as the boat is strong, everything is beautiful scenery. The fate of the world is unpredictable, but with a good home, with the fate of a good partner, the unpredictable fate seems to be no longer terrible.

A poem flashed through my mind: "Home is a boat, drifting in the love."

Looking at the little sailing on the lake slowly, I secretly pray that each sail has a warm home.

Home is a warm harbor

As I admired the beauty of the distant sails, a philosopher's allegory rang in my ear: "Come near, my friend, and you will know that even in the most beautiful sailboats there are too many trivial noises!"

This is Nietzsche's sneer at women.

Is it not? The home is too ordinary, and then warm home will inevitably have mundane chores, gossip and even a small quarrel.

Let us set sail, then,

But anyone who has ever sailed beyond the sea knows how joyfully the lonely heart beats when the dim shadow of the harbour appears on the horizon. If there were no harbor waiting to embrace us, would not the endless sea make us despair? In the voyage of life, we need adventure, but also need to rest, home is for us to rest the warm harbor. After our souls have been made too serious by the mysterious sounds of the sea, the petty noises in our homes may be the earthly music arranged by heaven to relax our spirits.

In the evening, the sails have returned, the harbor lights flickering, the noise of people, interrupted my meditation on the sea. I stood up and said, "Good night, homecoming!"

Home is the eternal shore

I know there are some very proud and very desolate souls in the world, they will never be homeless, let us not disturb them. As ordinary people, sooner or later, we need a home.

Odysseus, the hero of Homer's epic, has been wandering in the world for a long time, suffering and temptation, but it is the idea of returning home that sustents him, makes him overcome all the suffering, resist all the temptation. Finally, when the goddess Calypso urged him to stay on her island forever, he said firmly, "Noble goddess, I know that my wife will only be eclipsed in your glory. You will live forever, but she is destined to die. But I still miss home every day and want to go back to my home."

Since ancient times, countless poets have sung of the wanderer's homesickness. Fishing light dark, guest dream back, a drop of heartbreak. Lonely boat five thousand miles home, is a few market tears." Home is a wandering dream lingering forever shore.

Don't say "naked and unencumbered". At least, we come to this world, there is a home to let us ashore. When we leave, we don't want to be left alone, with no one to say goodbye to. Tired birds think of the nest, fallen leaves return to the roots, we return to the hometown, as if to return to the former shore place, from here to sail for eternity. I believe that if the soul does not die, we will miss our home here in heaven.
