Introduction

I know people who read this will say "Wow" and similar words but four thousand publictions is something that everyone can do. Probably the AI Slop merchants are way past that number now.

I was wondering how to mark this and I would have liked to hit ninety thousand reads but that will have to wait til next week, and getting reads on Vocal is an achievement that I can be proud of though I have Vocal friends who have far more reads than me.

So How Else Can I Mark It?

While I know I am not popular with Vocal, my read count tells another story. Also I do know that many peopl appreciate my work and show it publicly. I knwo I complain too much about not being appreciated by Vocal, but I think I know the reasons for that, but when I spoke directly with Justin he was very positive and appreciative.

So I will share some exmples of appreciation and success:

I still am very touched by this poem from my Vocal sister Melissa:

Then more recently my friend Aly (one of the Vocal Creators I meet up regularly in person with along with her husband Mick) reviewd my latest book:

All my other book on Amazon are here:

Though this one I felt was a huge achievement and has got a lot of kudos from a lot of people although it is Angie Livingstone's art that was the major selling point of this book:

This is my most read Vocal publication with nearly two thousand reads, but only five comments from Vocal Creators.

I do have a lot of stories with many reads but little interaction with Vocal Creators, but I am so appreciative that Vocal pay for reads from non-Vocal readers.

This is about Lighting Hadrian's Wall

I do not just publish on Vocal, and before Vocal I had been publishing on my blog for twenty years, and still do. That has had three and a half million visits so far, but that is mostly bots, and I just use it a diary to note about the books I am reading:

I also publish a few times on Instagram, mainly music and I have about a thousand followers on there, mostly bots pretending they are voluptuous young ladies. I don't follow back, but they make my numbers more impressive.

I am also on BlueSky and Threads where I also share my work. The links are in my Vocal profile, but I will share them here:

I also have a YouTube channel with about 250 followers and quarter of a million views most of which came from the two slidesows below. The Christopher Lee one has 139,000 views and the Red Right Hand has 16,000 views.

I've included a recording of the Spoon (Newcastle) take on the song Neil Young is suing Donald Trump for ten million dollars for with me on Vocals and I still think it sounds excellent. Thanks to Chris Ball on guitar and backing vocals and Steve Kirkby on drums and Paul on bass.

Conclusion

When I started this, I didn't know what I was going to say, but I have, as usual found a lot to say about myself and to brag a bit.

This is post four thousand, and one day you will be reading number five thousand.

Here are the other three

I couldn't find a three thousandth post but think that was during one of my issues tith posting on Vocal so I have the 3,456th post here:

Thank you for reading this, I truly appreciate all the support you have given me which has enabled me to keep writing.
