Selena M.A.C. cosmetics review

In recent years Selena’s family released with M.A.C. cosmetics a line of makeup inspired by what Selena used to wear in concert and in everyday life. It’s a great collection of cosmetics and being inspired by Selena I expect nothing less. Her sister Suzette who is in charge of Selena’s legacy put together this collection with cosmetics company M.A.C.. To do it right in the name of her sister Selena took a lot of time naturally and was truly a labor of love. The finished product line was a smashing success and if you are like me you were fortunate to have been able to have this wonderful collection inspired by Selena.

The collection consists of three lipsticks of Selena’s favorite shades that she used to wear and all bear the name of one of her famous and beautiful hit songs. The pink shade bears the name “Amor Prohibido” a favorite shade of Selena’s. The next is a light red if that is possible closer to the red Selena famously wore all of the time one of her signature colors bearing the name “Como La Flor” after her first big hit of the same name obviously. The third and final lipstick shade is the really dark red that we her fans and adoring public know and love as most most signature color named after her 1st English language crossover song “Dreaming of you”.

Naturally, the collection comes with a powder applicator. The powder compact and the powder in there bears the name of one of her other cumbia hita from the 1994 album “Amor Prohibido” the funky awesome cumbia named “Techno Cumbia”. The powder and applicators are available for people with darker skin, complexions and lighter skin complexions, which is beautiful because all are included in this. There is a nice light brown that bear is Selena’s name meaning her signature trademark logo and also there’s a darker powder as well in which is pretty cool. Also, there is a lip gloss in there that is in this kit called lipgloss. I love the lipgloss. It really does something to the lipstick that you put on afterwards.

The Selena Mac liquid eyeliner works sensational as well. Gone are the days where you would take dry eyeliner. All you would have to do is use Selena’s Mac eyeliner, and it works wonderfully. I love it for a number of reasons it works wonderfully and be because it was inspired by Selena. I believe and know that Selena would be so proud. Well She is so proud of her sister’s work on this make up line for her and also the continuous work that she and her family have done to continue their sister and daughters legacy.

All of the products in the Selena M. A. C. Cosmetic line are named after her songs which is something I should’ve said at the beginning when I was talking about the lipstick line but there you go there you have it. The eyeshadow colors in this collection are just beautiful now again like the lipsticks being Selena’s favorite shades, the mascara no the eyeshadow colors were, and some of Selena’s favorites.

Selena was natural beauty, and quite frankly she didn’t need make up. She was naturally beautiful. While , alive, Selena made other contributions to the cosmetic and beauty world with the creation of her own perfumes, such as a more prohibited, which I had a bottle of and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. If you were lucky enough to get the whole collection, there was an accompanying makeup handbag that was in a shape of one of her most famous bustiers.
