How to Use Primer

Primer is used in order to provide a base onto which you can apply your makeup as well as helping to cover up problem areas like wrinkles, blemishes and large pores. Why use a primer? When applying, pay special attention to the T-zone and any other areas that may become especially oily or dry as these are the things which may affect your makeup.

If you have mature skin then be sure to look out for a primer that is designed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and larger pores. Apply in this instance with gently patting action on the areas that you are trying to cover rather than circular motions. If you have oily skin, you will probably want to use a matte effect primer to combat the oil that builds on your skin. You could also consider applying some witch hazel during your skin care routine in order to reduce the amount of oil that builds on your skin. For dry skin you the obvious remedy is to use a primer that has added hydration effects.
