Artist K1ng Ely NYC is a lyrical artist incorporating the soulfulness of 90’s hip hop and r&b to the current day drill and trap music blending into an New art form. K1ng Ely NYC is inspired by the works of Jay-Z , Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle , Dave East ,J. Cole, Tupac, The Notorious BIG and the local artists in his area.

What about your music is rebellious, unconventional or unusual?

The Seed that Grew into the passion and the act of perusing the dream young.K1ng Ely NYC’s Passion for Music was Rebellious because he would leave his parent’s house to go smoke and rap with his friends from his High School which would Grow Into a Tree. Most of Ely’s Friends would later end up in Correctional facilities Move Away or die. Through time the tree was destroyed due to Institutionalization leaving K1ng Ely with Knowledge. leading him to a Crossroad where Passion for music and the pain from loss as well a struggle would meet the joy and the pleasure of a sweet life.

K1ng Ely Said the thing that felt most unusual was the feeling that the more he lost the more he gained on his road to glory The more He was deprived the more driven he became for success and the more of his pain he talked the more heart felt his music was the more Heart felt his music was the more love he gained last lately the love would open doors for him.

What sets your music apart? What is unique, or at least uncommon?

K1ng Ely NYC’s Versatility is what sets him apart from every other artist In his City and his love for all music the idea of no prejudice is what separates K1ng Ely NYC from everyone else. As Well as His perception on life and the universe Understanding that the things that we do say, hear , think and touch affect our realities. He Intends to use his knowledge to teach his younger Brothers in the city with goals, aspirations, and dreams ways to elevate their grind and eventually become stars of their own light through his music.

Has your musical journey had a deliberate direction, or did it simply gradually evolve in whatever direction it found?

K1ng Ely NYC’s Musical Journey just beginning and he is gradually evolving as his lifestyle and perception on life is. Who knows what the future holds all he can do is be prepared.

Artists like The Notorious Big, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Dr.Dre, Nas , 50 Cent, J. Cole, Tupac, and Jay-Z because they paint the picture of the struggle of growing up in the city where everyday you dedicate your energy to survival and if you're lucky pursuing a dream.

Nipsey Hussle, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z and Snoop Dogg Are K1ng Ely’s favorite artists because of the way they can paint the picture of the struggle that all artists that had to come nothing to being the person everyone wants to be like. This inspired K1ng Ely NYC to keep sight of his vision and continue to pursue his dream in spite of the reality that he may never get the life he desires.

What is he doing now and where can you find his work?

As of now K1ng Ely NYC is working on more music and launching his Clothing Line Evolution Clothing “Evolve or Perish” while building himself and his brand to gain everything he’s everything he’s ever desired and inspire the people he reaches to do the same
