World-Building: Fleshing out the World of the Screenplay
Creating a world for a story is just as integral to the creation of a story as characters and plot. Having a world that feels plausible, lived-in and realistic brings your audience in and helps cement them in the reality you are trying to create.

'The Karate Kid' - A First Time Watch
'The Karate Kid' is one of those movies that I've always been told I'd love but, for one reason or another, I've never gotten around to watching. In fact, the franchise as a whole has completely passed me by, but, with the recent premiere of the new season of Cobra Kai on Netflix, the world seems to be riding high on Karate Kid Fever, so I figured now was the best time to jump in and do a full retrospective on the Karate Kid franchise.

'The Camera Does Not Matter': Creating Movies with a Phone
You’d be surprised how capable that piece of technology you have in your hand actually is. Phone cameras have come on leaps and bounds in the last few years to the point where it’s relatively commonplace to see films entirely shot on phone’s making their way into film festivals, and even theatrical releases. Whilst you will never get the same level of control and detail that you would get with a DSLR or cinema camera, you can get incredibly close.

'Wonder Woman: 1984' - A Fanboy Reviews
‘Wonder Woman: 1984’ was directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot as the titular heroine as she journeys through 80’s Washington D.C. to thwart the plans of Maxwell Lord (played by the Mandalorian himself, Pedro Pascal) when he comes into possession of a stone that grants wishes, but takes something in return.

Heinsight: Rewriting 'Scooby Doo'
Scooby Doo is arguably one of the longest standing and most iconic characters ever put to film. The adventures of the mystery gang started back in the 60's, and have endured to this day with the upcoming reboot, 'Scoob!' (exclamation mark necessary). But this is not the first feature length Scooby outing. After the direct to video movies from the early nineties, we were treated to two live action Scooby Doo films in the early 2000's, written by James Gunn of all people. A lot of people enjoy these movies, and I myself am among those people, but I will be the first to admit that they're far from perfect. Dated CGI, questionable costume choices, and a paper-thin plot make these incredibly dated by today's standards. So let's take a stab at rewriting the live action Scooby Doo film.
