Jennifer Rose
Bio
Ever since I was little, I wanted to write. As a little kid my mom would tell me things like "You were writing since you were in the womb. You had a little pen and paper in there, and would write things like "It's so comfy in here and all!"

How I got Over an Internet Addiction
I've been scrolling through Facebook and Twitter feeds lately, if only because I have literally nothing better to do. (To be honest, I'd prefer going out and having a real life.) And of course, now that the 2020s have started, Y2K era nostalgia is in full swing- you know, Britney, Myspace, Limewire, Juicy, you get the picture. Despite (or perhaps because of?) my status as a member of Generation Z I'm totally intrigued by the fads of my childhood, if only because I was locked out of the loop.

My surprisingly easy, self-inflicted Media Sabbath
So were the fateful words of the “Moving Forward” section of my Forward Day by Day booklet that I got from my local Episcopalian Church, which inspired me to take a break from technology for a whole week. Why, you may ask, would anyone want to avoid technology for a whole week in the middle of 2020, let alone a technology geek like me? The answer is simple: because I’ve already done it enough.

Don’t Worry Mom, I’m Going to be Okay
Lately, my dear mother has been sick in the hospital. Not with COVID, mind you- with cancer (again.) Nobody like her should suffer like this, let alone during Christmas of all times. So, the stress of seeing my mother like this has been hard for me. Ever since I moved back home (long story), Mom and I have had some tension at home due to the lack of structure in my life. Lately, I've been feeling horrible for all the terrible things I did and said, and would have done anything to take them back.

How 'Game of Thrones' Influenced My Writing Career
#VocalGOT While I’ve heard a lot about Game of Thrones, especially from popular magazines, and the internet, I never really got into the program until April 2019, when the show was coming to a close. Nevertheless, the show has had a huge impact on my life.

How NOT to Stalk Your Favorite Actors
According to Kant’s “categorical imperative,” when making a decision, consequences are the most important part of making a decision. So, if someone wants to break the law, it’s okay as long as no one is hurt (For example, if someone wants to steal a small loaf of bread from the store). As a rebellious college student, I can completely relate to Kant’s theory.

A Life Once Lead
Last October, Woody Allen came to my school to shoot a movie. I was so excited to have celebrities on my own campus! In fact, when I met him and questioned his status as Mr. Allen himself, he said “Does that amaze you?” As if that wasn’t enough, I talked with one of the writers from Marvel Studios about an idea I had. She seemed pretty excited about it, especially since she was curious about new ideas. However, my life took a turn for the worse the following Monday.
