Journey to the Oracle
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. The valley was the Free Realm of the faeries and elves. They had always lived there and, although they were equal, the faeries liked to think they kept the elves in check. The elves liked to get up to mischief and were often a little more skeptical, especially Joran.

A Walk with Angels
Flat Earth Dreaming Yes, I know there are some flat earthers out there. That’s not me. Yet I like to imagine, and even entertain the idea in visual form, the vastness of where this earth begins, and where it ends. Sometimes I imagine myself standing at the very edge looking over. I think flat earthers say it is surrounded by ice and therefore it should be freezing, but in my mind, it has no temperature that I am aware of. The Edge is a precipice, a threshold, between the known and the unknown. It is not the end, it is the beginning of another realm, another internal reality.

Aunt Chancy and the Brass Bull
It started out like any other day. Gabrielle Chancy sat in the kitchen at her little table making a list of things to do today while the kettle boiled on the wood fired stove that also warmed the room and the hot water. Her dressing gown was a pale blue chenille, the colour of summer skies and her eyes seemed even bluer in the morning light. Her little dog Dixie lay at her feet, content and waiting patiently for breakfast.

The Steps of Time
Tariza sat on the steps of time. Her mind was in a mess. Her life had become turmoil and uncertainty. It wasn’t a good place to be. She looked back and saw the highs and lows of her life. She also saw that at this point a mountain had appeared out of all the debris, right there in front of her.

Desert Storm
The desert winds had howled for weeks on end. The blinding sandstorm blocked all vision from Erun’s sight monitor which normally worked in all conditions. Exhaustion had set in as his e-skin could not charge in these conditions and was rapidly peeling off in shreds. His communication channels had also been blocked and he was officially lost.
