The Hurt Behind The Smile
The picture at the top of this story is a bit blurred on purpose. Initially I sought to change it but, I realized that sometimes our lives may seem blurred. You see things that don’t make sense and your mind just can‘t focus upon them. So many things in our daughter’s life seem to be just a bit unfocused. In the midst of those times there was always love.

The Nekkid King of The Jungle
The Big Woods was where we spent a great deal of our free time. The trees there seemed to reach the sky and in the summer they provided a great source of shade to hide us from the hot Southern sun. The main action area for us was at the bottom of a valley that ran the length of the woods. At the bottom of this valley was a large tree that had fallen and it was appropriately named, The Big Log. It served as a great gathering place to choose sides for a war or to gather to begin a trip into the jungle.

Life’s Storms
This story is not a sad story, though at times it may seem to be. It is real and is the story of a young lady who faced the fiercest, most awful storm of her life. At times it seemed the storm would never end and would consume her slowly until the end of her days.

I feel as though stopping this aggregious pack of lies would be my gift to the world.

Do You Feel Loved?
I placed myself in a precarious position. What I still consider to be an act of brilliance could, on any evening, turn on me with a vengeance. If my idea were to backfire on me, it would mean a sleepless night and a great deal of soul searching. While my plan could be potentially hurtful, I urge any men reading this to be brave and test drive it. If you are honest and care for your significant other this could bring you closer than you have ever imagined.

Tightie Whites and Coco Puffs
There are dozens of times during my youth when my Dad frightened me. Some of those times were due to his showing off his driving skills. Driving down the interstate and “drafting” big rigs were the worst. He was doing 75mph on up to 85mph riding so close behind the truck that I thought we were touching bumpers. At times like that all you can do is pray.

She Found It
She is a super sleuth and she wears the perfect disguise. You could see her anywhere at any time of the day and her cover kept her gift concealed. A police department would welcome her gift of pulling facts and truths out of murky words and events. At times it was like she was easing her hands into a mud puddle and pulling out diamonds. Her disguise was simply the fact that she is a wife and the mother of four children. I call her Sassy and that nickname fits her personality. The dictionary says that Sassy means “ lively, bold and full of spirit; cheeky”. That perfectly describes my bride.
