Why Were the Pirates In 'The Mandalorian' So Set On Killing Themselves?
Last Friday, the newest episode of The Mandalorian was released. Chapter 15, “The Believer,” was a character episode that focused on the interaction between Din and his wisecracking frenemy Migs Mayfeld. During the episode, Din and the former Imperial Sharpshooter infiltrated an imperial base to get information they needed to retrieve Grogu, but on their way they were attacked by an unknown group of suicidal alien pirates. Sounds weird, right?

Warner Bros Shakes Up The Industry by Sending 2021 Slate To Streaming
Just days ago, WarnerMedia may have changed the future of moviegoing forever by smashing theatrical windows completely for the year of 2021 and releasing all of their films directly to streaming as well as to theaters on the day of release. Warner Bros had already announced a similar plan with their giant tentpole Wonder Woman 1984, which is coming to HBO Max and releasing to theaters on Christmas day. With this announcement, not only is the company shattering theatrical windows, but they are setting a historical precedent by putting what-would-be-considered blockbuster releases right onto our televisions at home free of extra charge if you already have a subscription to the streaming service. It will be hard to put the genie back into the bottle after this move, as people will start to come to expect blockbusters from studios and streaming services in our homes even if they try to reverse the decision. Movies such as Matrix 4, Suicide Squad, Godzilla v Kong, and Dune will be released to HBO Max and theaters on the day of release. In an ordinary, non-pandemic world, these films would have been runaway hits, as they are highly anticipated, with a pre-existing fanbase. However, WarnerMedia claims that this is an isolated, one-year long experiment in response to the pandemic.

George Lucas Expected Disney To Give Him More Power In The Creation Of The Sequel Trilogy
After Disney acquired Marvel back in 2009, it was no brainer for Disney to acquire the Star Wars property as they bought it from Lucasfilm for 4 billion dollars back in 2012. However, the decision was painful; according to George Lucas himself giving up control to his iconic Star Wars property was “very, very painful,” as we have learned from Paul Duncan’s interview that is referenced in the newly released book The Star Wars Archives: Episode I-III 1999-2005. The material finds Lucas being honest about his decision to prioritize his family over his film franchise.

KOTOR 2 Will Now Be On Mobile Devices On December 18th
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is one of the most popular RPGs of all time, and definitely one of the greatest Star Wars games. Developed by Bioware and published by LucasArts, the game was critically acclaimed on launch and has since reached legendary status, being hailed as one of the greatest video games ever made. Directed by Casey Hudson and written by Drew Karpyshyn, both of Mass Effect fame, the game boasted a soundtrack by master video games composer Jeremy Soule and the supremely amazing voice talent of Fem Shep herself, Jennifer Hale. The game's sequel, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, was developed by a different studio Obsidian Entertainment, but is of similar high quality, and is also set 4000 years before the events of the Star Wars prequels.

Temuera Morrison Says He Has Been Waiting Years For Disney To Call Him About Boba Fett
When given the chance to be a part of a major blockbuster series like Star Wars or Marvel, many actors would love to return to that universe. Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones (2002), wanted a chance to return if they were open to bringing adult Boba Fett back into the game. In Attack of the Clones, when Obi-Wan meets Jango Fett, we learn that he is the blueprint for the clone army. And part of the deal he made was that he would have an unaltered clone son: Boba. So, naturally, it would make perfect sense for Temuera Morrison to come back as Boba Fett since Jango met his demise in the arena battle on Geonosis in Attack of the Clones. He would look exactly like his father.

The Real Reason Mark Hamill Didn't Play Luke In The 'LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special'
Mark Hamill is known throughout the galaxy for his performance of Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars films. He played the hero that many people grew up with, and he even came back for each installment of the sequel trilogy. He is also famed for his excellent voice-acting as the Joker in the Batman animated universe, and more recently, for Chucky in the Child's Play reboot. You would expect an opportunity like The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special would be perfect for his talent, yet Hamill was not cast in the special.
