Disney+ Has Literally Everything Now and Announcing it All At Once was Exhausting
At first, I was as eager as anyone: it was refreshing to see a presentation with so much content and so little filler talk (well, at least after they were done talking about Hotstar). But after a while, I started to savor the countdown clocks between announcements. Watching the clock meant I could stretch and make coffee. There is so much content coming to Disney+ that I feel burnt out just watching the announcements of it all. To be clear: I'm not complaining, I just didn't see that much coming at me all at once and I'm real tired and need a nap soon.

Moff Gideon Makes The Oldest 'Star Wars' Joke Canon
The Mandalorian has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the Star Wars fandom. Even avid collectors of the old Kenner toys can tell that the team behind the show did their homework when it comes to both the universe itself and the merchandise that has become so beloved. And one of the longest coveted Star Wars toys of all is the lightsaber. Even before owning any toy modeled after the lightsaber, many kids have picked up alternatives such as baseball bats or even sticks, swinging them around and pretending that they are Jedi partaking in lightsaber duels. The lightsaber itself has seen many permutations, whether it be the color of the blade, the design of the hilt, or the number of blades coming out of the hilt.

George Lucas Reveals Why He Actually Sold 'Star Wars' To Disney
After creating one of the biggest film franchises in history, it was under a lot of assumption that George Lucas would want to retain full control over the Star Wars franchise after the release of the prequel trilogy. Apparently We Might Be Getting A Gina Carano Spin-off Project?
Might as well, right? With over forty years of Star Wars media continually coming out, pretty much every character got their own backstory and explanation that would make Tolkien tell them to tone it back a bit. Everyone from the stormtrooper that Leia shot in the beginning of A New Hope to, and I couldn't make this up if I tried, the garbage monster that grabs Luke in the Death Star. Her name was Omi, and she grabbed Luke and dunked him to "baptize" him for some Force belief or whatever. Again, couldn't make this up if I tried, but somebody could, so here we are.

'The Mandalorian' Might Have Just Changed Ahsoka Tano's Entire Timeline
Of all of the characters in the expanded Star Wars universe that are still canon, arguably none are as popular as Ahsoka Tano, the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. She became disillusioned with the Jedi after some false accusations against her among other cracks in their order that she saw, and left the Jedi before she could become a victim of Order 66. We still saw her in other media outside of The Clone Wars TV show, most notably in Star Wars Rebels. She wields twin white lightsabers, something that we had not seen before in canon. With fans of Star Wars eager to see more Ahsoka, it was little surprise that she showed up in the most popular piece of Star Wars media of our generation: The Mandalorian. Rumors abounded that she would be in the show, and fans were rewarded for their patience with her appearance in the show. They were not disappointed, as her first appearance showed her cutting through the soldiers of an evil governor of a nearby town.

‘The Mandalorian’ Makes The Sequel Trilogy Look Even Worse Than It Already Did
The tale of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. It is probably one that you have heard time and time again already. I myself find moments of brilliance in the trilogy and can enjoy each installment to different extents, but I cannot deny that it is flawed and feels like it did not have a cohesive plan. Yes, I know, George Lucas did not plan every single thing either, but one would think that in this day and age, people would be able to "get it right" more easily.

George Lucas Admits That Giving Up 'Star Wars' Was "Very Painful"
As you can imagine, after you dedicate decades of your life to building a world filled with lore, characters, and countless stories, it'd be rather difficult to let go of it. George Lucas himself has confirmed that it was indeed "very painful" to let go of a galaxy far, far away. With The Star Wars Archives 1999-2005 releasing and shedding all kinds of new light on both the prequels and the galaxy as a whole, Lucas revealed many details to author Paul Duncan.

The Cassian Andor Show Is Now Filming In London, Says Diego Luna
Disney has been hard at work since launching Disney+ a year ago. They finally have a platform where they can release shows to go along with major blockbusters such as the Marvel and Star Wars film series. And they have wasted no time in getting those shows planned, filmed, and out on their streaming service. Even though COVID-19 has slowed production on many of their shows, with restrictions lifting some, they have been able to slowly get back on track with producing their highly anticipated series.
