Homo-Holiday
I’m an authentic homosexual which/witch means at now 51 years old (never having sex with a biological female) and monogamous for 7 years in a 25+ year relationship after “coming out” at 16-17 years old and striking out on my on in the world I’ve had quite a journey. One thing that is very unique to the “gay”/alternative lifestyle community is how many are completely disowned by their families as they go through their own personal “coming out” process. I was also an infant advertised for adoption in the Newark Star Ledger who was adopted and socialized from infancy until I left home with two parents who then divorced and I went through my childhood socialization/“grew up” in a Judeo-Christian cult that did not allow the celebration of holidays. As my now deceased, former adoptive, father got a free turkey from work every year and they were both off work and I was off school Thanksgiving was the closest to celebrating any holiday I was allowed. I wasn’t even able to celebrate my own birthday.

Universal Delivery
The usually quiet neighborhood is buzzing with a collective chatter. As you look outside you see each neighbor with an odd looking parcel at their feet. Just before heading next door to ask about their package a drone places the same type of package at your feet. The unexpected parcel was odd enough. The strange drone was very different from other drones but as the technology is still new and evolving that wasn’t surprising. It was the package itself that was oddest of all.

Mean Mermaids
The position of a mermaid at the “Meal With A Mermaid” attraction has always been one of the most coveted amusement park roles. Set in the world’s largest aquarium women from around the world come to audition. Only a few are chosen. The theme restaurant is beautiful with it’s massive aquarium and haute cuisine seafood menu. Women apply there hoping to “get caught like a fish” as the richest men in the world dine there on vacation or for business which is why there is such a high mermaid turnover. It would be a way out for the beautiful yet failed synchronized swimmer.
