Barn Dance
Meryl and Shandy had been dating about a year and were deeply in love. At 18 and 19 they already knew they would spend the rest of their lives together. They were talking a walk along the lane near her grandmother's house on their way to the store. It was a bright sunny day when suddenly a cloud appeared and before they knew it they were being soaked by the rain. They dashed into a neighbor's barn that was not currently being used and huddled together as they shook the wet from their clothes.

Shark fest
Jayla loved the Baby Shark Dance Song and sang it all the time but her brothers hated it. She would break out in "Baby shark do do do do do do do Baby shark do do do do dod do baby shark do do do do baby shark." She sang all the verses about the mommy, daddy, grandma, and grandpa shark. One day her family took a trip to the beach and 8 year old Jayla was excited. On this afternoon they were alone and had taken full advantage. She walked with her mom, and brothers Ty and Dre a long way in the sand then played beach ball. They romped in the water then sat down to dry off.

The Night of the living duck: The final Looney Tune short to feature Mel Blanc
Swan song Mel Blanc has been described as the man with a thousand voices because he lent his vocal cords to a majority of the animated shorts that have thrilled us for many generations. His final short was a 6 minute Merrie Melodies offering titled "The Night of the living duck" which paled in comparison to previous work from Blanc. This is Blanc's swan song whether we like it or not. Some Baby Boomers have said that it seems as if the cartoon shorts and other work by Mel Blanc has been dummied down over the decades and lost some of the original magic.

Nicolas Bechtel says goodbye to ‘GENERAL HOSPITAL’
Nicolas Bechtel began portraying Prince Spencer Stefan Niklosovich Cassadine on the ABC daytime soap opera GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2013 and continued in the role until it was recently recast. On July 2, 2021, Nicholas Alexander Chavez age 21, began portraying the character. Bechtel at 14, was considered too young to take on a darker role of the young prince. Fans who watched the actor grow from a precautious 7 year old into a teen are heartbroken. Viewers understand the need for change but were hoping Bechtel might remain on the soap.

Gordon Lightfoot music threads my needle
The first time I heard a song by Gordon Lightfoot it was "If you could read my mind which was released in 1970. I listened to the tune on an eight tract tape player on the school bus in 1971. I was 13 and in the eighth grade and thought this was one of the most mellow, songs I had ever heard and it always made me feel relaxed. We had a 45 minute drive to and from the junior high school and listening to the music was a way to pass the time.

Spencer's encounter with Trina may lead to romance on 'General Hospital'
Spencer Cassadine has returned to GENERAL HOSPITAL but not as a 14 year old Nicolas Bechtel. The son of Prince Nikolas and Courtney Corinthos is now being portrayed by 21 year old Nicholas Alexander Chavez. Bechtel is beloved by fans wh0 watched him grow and mature from a child in 2006 into a handsome teen. The current storyline, however, dictates that the character needs to be older and a bit darker, and thus a recast was chosen. Many viewers have expressed disbelief that the role was recast but now Chavez will make it his own.

The Temptations are always on the Top My personal favorite song from The Temptations is "Standing on the Top." This hit record features Rick James and 7 men who performed with the group at one time or another. These were 8 talented men who set their egos aside to produce a record and video that thrilled the world. Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Glen Leonard, Richard Street, Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, and Dennis Edwards were all on hand but there was one man who was missing. Baritone singer and choreographer. Paul Williams, the brother of founder Otis had passed away years before.

Mariah’s modern family hits a snag on 'The Young and the Restless'
Things have been working out pretty well on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS with regard to the surrogate mother storyline.
