Shepard-Commander: It's Time for Mass Effect
“Shepard-Commander!” The mere thought of those two words puts a smile on my face and causes my fingers to twitch, longing to feel the controller around my fingertips as my heart skips a beat in pure fangirl excitement. With these words in my head - I know the score. I know it’s time to play Mass Effect again. I take a breath. The galaxy needs saving. It’s all up to me. Wait for me, Kaidan, my love. Liara, don’t be sad. I open my gaming laptop and prepare to start another journey as Commander Shepard. I start the game, hear the music. I’m awed and excited, as if it’s my first time all over again, no matter how many times I play.

A Bisexual Perspective
When I was a kid, I couldn’t even begin to grasp how much things would change when I grew older or how much I would change. Back when I was growing up, I never heard any words in my household associated with the LGBTQIA+ community. I didn’t even know it, or such people, existed. Even so, I knew I was different. I simply didn’t know why. Looking back, it was always staring me in the face, I just didn’t have a name for it. I was bisexual.

The Stolen Artifact
On the surface, tonight appeared to be like all other nights. The crescent lavender moon shown bright in the sky, the colored stars dancing as the magnificent dragons flew overhead with a flock of phoenix, uncaring of any drama happening on land. Nearby the horned, winged horses lay sleeping in their herd, nestled closely with their elven companions of the forest. All around the sounds of nature could be heard, the night doing little to quiet the ever beating pulse of nature. In the distance one could hear the sirens sing their songs near the rocky cliff as the mermaids played in the shallow waters of the sea. Normally U’desa would be taking it all in, basking in the beauty around her as she and her kind mischievously teased the forest imps as they slept, but this was no ordinary night. Tonight U’desa had a mission and she was close to seeing that mission though.

The Marriage of Hades
Hades looked around the grand ballroom of Mt. Olympus as he waited for his bride, pleased with both the turn out and the décor. It seemed as if most of the gods and goddesses had come to attend his wedding to his beloved Persephone, just as he suspected they would. Extravagance was the theme of this wedding. The columns, walls, and even the floor was covered with an array of flowers for his darling bride. The feast was huge – wine, meats, cheeses, fruits. Even his beloved’s favorite pomegranates were on the menu tonight. While such things mattered little to Hades, he knew his wife would be pleased by the arrangements and that his guests would enjoy the grandeur of it all. While events such as this mattered little to Hades, and he often found excuses not to attend, he was looking forward to this one. Apart from it being his own wedding reception, he had a feeling that tonight would be quite entertaining.
