Think About This

Some time ago, way before any of the technological advances we see in front of us nowadays existed. There had to be a way of creating such objects. We may just go and click and everything starts loading, playing, downloading, the actions go FOREVER! All the apps, devices, games, you name it, it has code behind it. See, what most people seem to neglect or not take the time to understand, is how the systems they use on an everyday basis actually came to be. The structure and foundation of the product coming to life, in order for us to do our everyday tasks. We as people rarely appreciate the amount of hard work, effort, and time that goes into everything we use. Society seems to just always want the next best thing, have it go faster, more powerful, seems to never be pleased or satisfied with what we have been given.

Take a minute to think of the people who are working day and night, going some nights without sleep, just to create an object for us to use, and we can't even take the time to appreciate what has been presented to us? We just want it to be bigger, better, faster, stronger, ect. Always looking for that new "trending" subject, object, or topic. But in actuality all we are really doing is just turning what we currently have from something positive into a negative aspect, seeing it "isn't" good enough anymore we need something "new/better". Just think about that for a minute let it resonate in your mind.

That brings us to our topic for this article "Hacking", the origin, foundation, the reason in which this activity was created. Y'all ready for this? Let's learn something new ( If you didn't know already). Is it just human nature to turn things meant for positive knowledge and actions to take place, into a destructive negative aspect? If so, we have to come to the realization and change this nature of our individual lives.

Original Intent

So, once upon a time, there was a Developer/Programmer who had an idea, that if they were able to pull off would change the course of technical advances. They worked long days and nights without sleep, eyes heavy, barely open, looking ready to close at any minute. But their determination and dedication for their idea were more potent than their bodies' need for sleep. So they keep typing away coding an endless script that they felt very strongly would make a breakthrough in technology and establish new heights.

But there was just one problem.

They weren't too handy at testing their model, so they then got together with an individual who would find any flaws in their design. Go through all the code, find the in's and out's of their model. This individual was known as a "Hacker". The Curiosity of what the system did, how the system could be used, HOW the system did what did, and WHY it did what it did. The purpose and intent were purely to be able to see the flaws in a system in order to go back and reconstruct those flaws to perfect the design. To maintain the proper usage of the model/system. For example.... A sniper has a spotter, a programmer has a hacker. They help each other out to make for a better situation.

"Curiosity of what the system did, how the system could be used, HOW the system did what did, and WHY it did what it did."

So the very reason for finding out HOW, WHAT, & WHY was the original reason for "hacking".

How it worked

What could be moderated to work better

Why it would act how it did to different commands, ect

So, as you can see from the beginning of programming and developing systems, applications, websites, games, so on and so forth it was intended to be for the greater good of the product. It was meant to be a technique used to better the design of whatever was being created. To try and minimize as many design flaws as physically possible.

BUT, the structure of what hacking was intended to be used for was about to get a devious twist to it, thanks to some very crafty, curious, and cynical individuals. As human beings tend to do we transformed this positive aspect into one that was used for malicious acts.

Manipulating The Cause

Well, we all know somebody who has had their PSN, Xbox Live, Stream Account swept right from under their noses. Credit cards, Social Security Numbers, if you can think of it, it's been taken from somebody in this new age digital world.

Once again the destructive nature of mankind has seemed to find its way into making a federal case out of something that is meant to better objects and/or systems, programs, ect. The term "Hacking" or "Hacker" nowadays is viewed as, well in simple terms a digital theft. We have managed to brandish the good in a handy tool made to make things work better, and gain knowledge and educate us on what can be improved into a negative subject.

*Sigh* :(

Manipulating, and gaining the access to other's data and devices. As you can see the second definition is a skillful computer user or programmer, so it still holds some value of goodness in its meaning. But a good majority of people when talking about hacking or a hacker are doing everything BUT, trying to be constructive more or less they are exploiting and bringing destruction to another's life.

What Do You Think?

I want to know what all of you think? Is it just human nature to turn good into bad? How do we stop this vicious cycle, what would you do to change this term back into knowing mainly for the greater good? I hope you were able to learn something new from my article! If so please leave a comment and let me know! I'll be waiting to hear from all of y'all.
