Where To Find Unofficial Vocal Challenges

Introduction

One of the reasons many of us joined Vocal are the Challenges. You can find the latest ones here:

While we are all on Vocal to write and share and make a little money when challenges have been met sometimes we want a different prompt or challenge.

We can make suggestion directly to Vocal by leaving a suggestion on the post here:

But Vocal have to look at these suggestions and then decide if they will catch the imagination of their Creators, and that does take time.

So What Is The Answer?

Many Vocal Creators set up their own challenges and share them as Vocal Stories. Some of these create a lot of work for the Creator running the challenge but are extremely worthy, often outdoing Vocal in their concept, but the prizes will be significantly less.

For my own challenges, I give three random one-dollar prizes so you may get a very small cup of coffee or a sweet from me.

I keep missing the unofficial challenges and know that must be the same for many other creators, so in the Vocal Social Society on Facebook we have introduced a monthly thread for Open Unofficial Vocal Challenges where people can add their own challenges or share others they have found.

This was the initial one which is now closed. At first we thought we would have an ongoing thread but then decided a monthly one would be easier for navigation

So if you are looking for a new challenge or prompt, check out the Vocal Social Society Thread, you might find something that grabs you, and by reading the Challenge pieces you will be supporting other creators and they in turn will support you.

These unofficial challenges are a wonderful example of how the Vocal Communities work together for the benefit of all.
