Going to School
Teacher's lecture and writings on the blackboard Testing tomorrow! ******* What going to school was like when I went to school. Getting up to eat breakfast and choosing what to wear. Making sure to watch the clock so I didn't miss the bus and walking to the bus stop. Getting to school and heading to my locker to get my needed materials and usually rushing because my bus was usually the last one in for some reason or one of the few late buses. Headed to homeroom waiting for announcements and the pledge. Off and running to my classes now.

The Woman He Loved
I have started reading those Reader's Digest Condensed Novels series. Do they really leave anything out. I don't think so. In reading 'The Woman He Loved' by Ralph G. Martin is all about the friendship/romance of Prince Edward and Wallis Simpson. Each chapter describes these two persons from their childhood through their histories. The second half of this book is what made the history books and his abdication from the throne and his marriage to Wallis. What do you think Prince Edward would think of Prince Harry and Megan? Two people no matter what should be together. Don't you think.

What really makes a good parent?
What does parent education really mean? I have just finished reading a book entitled 'Kids Under Construction' by Ricki D. Pavlu a pastor, who is also a parent. Throughout this book he shares his memories of raising his children and giving hints and tips to new parents and to those who have been in this grand profession for years. It is a great book that to me brought the sacred and secular together for we were all created by the one great parent who we were made in his image. Parents are our first teachers as so was God. Pray!

Mount Vernon A Love Story
This story is written by Mary Higgins Clark and is a novel of George and Martha Washington. The author has shared through research some historical facts of this first family of the US from their younger days to the end of George's presidency. It's a fictional account of their lives for even though the historical events were dramatized a little. It is a book of their relationships from their various parents and other relations to the people they met in their adult lives and the memories they lived, endured, survived and now remember till the end of their lives together.

Fall of the Apocalypse . Content Warning.
The Fall of the Apocalypse The zombie outbreak didn’t start with sirens or explosions or government warnings. It started with a man trying to buy a pack of Marlboros at the Genoa Junction Bp off Highway 12. I was behind the counter, half asleep, half annoyed, and fully ready to tell him we were out of his brand. Cyndle was restocking the cooler, humming something off‑key. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead like they always did. It was just another Tuesday.

Through the Eyes of Bill Bixby. Top Story - September 2026.
Link to the Challenge: Thank you for the Challenge, Annie. I may forgive you one day. I had quite a few fears as a child. It is not worth my time listing all of them here, but I count my father, the odd bully, death, and the possibility that I just did not belong to the family I was with as a large part of the list. It was so bad that I reached the point, when we moved to the suburbs, that I could watch any horror film by myself and barely feel any fear (my mother wondered how I could sit in our basement on a Friday night watching some of the best years of Wes Craven and John Carpenter). To me, they were just cartoonish fantasies after everything else I faced and thought of.

Out on a Limb
Has anyone ever read Shirley MacLaine's novel 'Out on a Limb'? This book has been out for decades, and she even made the movie she starred. This is her book that helped her to understand who she really was and is. She always wondered and through several of her friends she finds out who she is and why she did and does them as in being an actress, author and mother. This is a book that will also have you thinking about who you really are or happen to be. It is a teaching book of spiritual ideas and sharing.

A trail
The fog was thinning out and the whispering continued. I walked on till the path just stopped. I stood there, looked around, and decided maybe I should turn back and start back the way I came. That's when I heard "Make a left." I stood there and asked myself, "Should I?" Decided to make the left and it seemed to be going uphill and the fog seemed to be lifting a little bit more. The whisper said, 'Keep going." So, I kept going. The air still had a chill to it, but my shivering subsided a little. Keep walking, please.

A Trail
North, South, East and West the fog was getting thicker and thicker as I was walking. There was a chill to the air, but I was not feeling cold. I had to stop for a little while and get my bearings for I seemed to be walking in circles, then I heard it. It wasn't a growl, but a whispering. I listened closer. It is a whispering. I started walking again and I heard the word 'Beware'. Stopping for a minute I answered in a whisper "What?" "Why?" The fog seemed to be thinning out and I could see further.

I Didn’t Mean to Disappear
I didn’t plan to vanish from Vocal, not for this long... No dramatic exit, and it wasn't caused by any kind of creative burnout- I didn't make any grand announcement either. I simply stepped away for “a little while, yet it turned out to be longer than I thought,” and then life quietly rewrote the script.
