RIP Me
Chloe Rose: Loving Mother, Friend, and Writer. The Official Notice from the office of Unfiltered Chloe: Contrary to recent rumors (which I have apparently started), I have not died. I've simply been missing from Vocal long enough to warrant an obituary.

You Deserve Relationships Where You Don’t Have to Wonder
If you’re always wondering whether you actually matter to someone, picking apart texts, overthinking long silences, asking yourself if you’re coming on too strong or not giving enough, it’s probably because the relationship isn’t giving you that basic sense of security and the same level of effort. That constant second guessing wears on you. It turns something that should feel easy into this mental puzzle you keep trying to solve, even when you’re exhausted from it.

Observations On Getting A Top Story, The Vocal Leaderboard And Congratulations Comments
Introduction This is just a short piece on a couple of things that have been running round in my head, essentially to draw the positives from things that some people may see as negatives. I would love to hear what you have to say (as I always do).

If Only I Could Meet the Many Versions of Myself . AI-Generated.
Lately, I’ve caught myself wishing for something strange, almost impossible, multiple versions of me. At first, even I didn’t fully understand what I meant by that. It sounded abstract, maybe even dramatic. But the feeling behind it has become clearer with time. Life, right now, doesn’t feel like a rollercoaster. A rollercoaster has pauses, endings, moments where you step off, breathe, and laugh at the intensity of it all. What I’m experiencing feels more like a river rushing down an endless mountain, no stillness, no plateau, just constant motion. And when the mountain doesn’t seem to end, neither does the exhaustion.

The Night I Lost Everything… And Found Myself Again”. AI-Generated.
Ethan never believed that one bad night could destroy an entire life. At 29, he had everything people dream about — a stable job, a small but cozy apartment in New York, and someone he thought he would marry someday. Life wasn’t perfect, but it was comfortable. Predictable.

The Psychology Behind Emotionally Powerful Storytelling. AI-Generated.
The Psychology Behind Emotionally Powerful Storytelling: Why Some Stories Stay With Us Forever Stories have shaped human civilization long before written language existed. They have preserved history, transmitted cultural values, inspired movements, and helped individuals make sense of the world around them. Yet not all stories affect us in the same way. Some entertain us briefly before fading from memory, while others linger for years, influencing how we think, feel, and understand our own experiences.

Is There A Vocal Top Story Effect?
Introduction Someone told me recently they had suggested to Vocal that one of their stories should have been a Top Story and it was given the accolade. It is a good story, but do comments and direct messages influence Vocal's choice of Top Stories?

Call For Help . Top Story - June 2026.
Hello Vocal family, I come before you today, 26 years old, humbled, scared and a little lost. There have been many times in my life where I feel as though I’ve been at a crossroads, but this is the first that I feel genuinely stuck in my tracks with no idea what to do or where to go next. I’m torn between settling for jobs I know I don’t want all for the sake of a promised paycheque, or persevering past the fear and continuing towards my dreams, despite the odds and not knowing exactly how to get there.
