Chloe Rose: Loving Mother, Friend, and Writer.

The Official Notice from the office of Unfiltered Chloe:

Contrary to recent rumors (which I have apparently started), I have not died. I've simply been missing from Vocal long enough to warrant an obituary.

Signed, one very alive author.... who just became so life clogged that her writing stopped flowing for a very long time....

Written for: The Posthumous Author Challenge

The Prompt

"Imagine you became famous after your death. Write the author profile critics construct around your life, work, and legacy."

Chloe was a loving mother of three, beautiful children. She was an artist, a writer, and a collector of broken things: this included memories, people, and unfinished sentences, well, and journals.

Chloe was presumed deceased after an alarming time away from the internet. She left behind an a huge amount of unfinished projects, (thanks ADHD) which also included three unfinished novels, and 87 different open internet tabs on her Samsung phone, and possibly some dead plants that she forgot to water.

She wrote for everyone and anyone- including herself. If inspiration happened to strike her at 2 am, everyone was going to hear about it- including Vocal.

Creativity has always been a part of everything she does. Whether it was in decorating her home, playing around with pastels, writing, or junk journaling: Chloe always had some kind of project on the go. Her imagination has always worked overtime, which usually dragged her and anyone else around her along for the ride.

Alongside her creativity, Chloe suffered from more than her fair share of personal challenges including two autoimmune diseases, vitiligo and Hashimoto's disease, and she had recently became un-diagnosed with bipolar disorder and instead, diagnosed instead with a postpartum mood disorder as well as ADHD.

As a lover of books, she enjoyed her fair share of reading of literally anything she could get her hands on from a very young age.

She enjoyed self-expression including tattoos, piercings, and funky hair colours. She also partook in life long learning which lead her to UDEMY where she completed several certificates.

She has survived motherhood, her ADHD diagnosis, sleep deprivation, her family's drama, her autoimmune diseases, and the dangerous belief that buying one more notebook would finally make her organized.

She was a wonderful waitress, who tried her best no matter what was happening in her own life at the time. She was bubbly, kind, and excelled under pressure. She always got embarrassed by anyone that brought her writing up to her. She had become very humble in the five years she has been writing online.

She is deeply missed, fiercely loved, and respected by her readers, loved ones, friends, and family.

Chloe will be remembered for her creativity, her crazy, and dry, sense of humor, and her love for all the broken things. She embraced loving herself, even on the tough days and that message was passed on deeply to those that loved her. She loved deeply, gave generously of herself, and left a mark on the lives she touched.

She is survived by her three incredible children, her loving partner, her family, her friends, and more than several neglected notebooks that remain quietly judging her from around her home.

Her stories live on in her online platform, in the memories of her children and partner, as well as her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Chloe requests coffee, possibly an energy drink or two, uninterrupted writing time, and the collective agreement that buying another journal absolutely counts as productivity.

At the time of publication, Chloe has made an unremarkable recovery from being "missing" and "deceased" and is more than happy to announce that she has returned to writing.

Funeral services have been cancelled due to the her refusal to perish.

Welcome back... to me, being unfiltered, crass, and just hands down, being myself again.

I cannot wait to embrace writing again. Thank you everyone for reading. <3
