I could see why now—I’d been through medical struggles in my early 👶🏻 years. I even flatlined ⛑🏥, and been brought back to life. That kind of thing changes you. Of course, your brain blocks 🧠 the memories, but there’s lasting trauma to overcome ⛑.

From London to Dublin
9/8/17 I left California just two days ago to find my way to England on my research adventure. I'm currently a few chapters away from finishing my next novel, From Night On: The Veil, which focuses on Greek and Berber mythologies, and taking this time to gather material in preparation for my next novel in the series From Night On. As I write this first entry, I'm sitting at a Cornish pub in Delabole called Bettle and Chisel, where I am going to experience my first Cornish breakfast while I'm listening to America's hits from the 90's and earlier on their jukebox.

The Travel Mentality
The travel mentality is a beautiful, opportunity opening way to walk through life. It’s also a perspective that I struggle to maintain when not traveling. What do I mean? I’m talking about the natural curiosity that comes from stepping into a place for the first time, having the luxury of time to follow your curiosity wherever it leads, to engage in conversation with strangers, to really see your surroundings instead of tuning them out on the way from point A to point B. The travel mentality is a beautiful metaphor for life: we may have a destination in mind, but if we leave ourselves open to the unknown along that journey, we may discover a more enriching path that we may not have even considered or known existed before setting out.

Camino de Santiago, Day 3—From Zubiri to Pamplona
Today supposed to be a short day after yesterday’s super-long one, so we weren’t rushing. Left in the last minute, 8 AM sharp—usually, they are kicking you out early in the morning from the hostels. Also, at night around 11 PM is lights out, gates locked. Good night if you got back on time… if you did not? Well, too bad. We had some breakfast and walked around a bit in this cute town.

The final countdown begins... One week left before my biggest adventure ever—well… so far. Yeah, pretty soon I will sit on a plane with the one-way ticket that will take me away from Manchester. Take me away from everything and everyone I know, away from friends, and my daily routine, away from work and the hamster run. So you wanna hear about thoughts and stuff now, right? Well, here you go—there are moments when I’m still not 100 percent sure if I reeeally realized what am I actually about to do. But it’s okay.

Considering a Sailboat
When arriving in California, after an epic roadtrip, seizing the means of familiar and future was my primary personal task. I didn't have even a bed, yet. I'll have fixed that by now, I hope!
