A Night to Remember at Globe Life Field
With the unofficial end of summer drawing to a close soon, yours truly took yet another trip to Arlington, but this one was special. Once I've arrived, I reserved a motel room for two nights, even though the original plan was to stay for one and then return to Arkansas. The temperature down there was in the triple digits. I was already wearing my red Texas Rangers City Connect jersey and hat, since it was City Connect Night. I made my way to Globe Life Field, which was a little over two miles away. It took me at least an hour to arrive there but had to buy myself something to drink along the way. Despite me sweating like a pig, I made it inside GLF. There were plenty of Rangers fans in attendance and a small handful of Angels fans. So, the picture used for this story was perfect. Back in February, I took part in a premium stadium tour of Globe Life Field, viewing a plethora of artifacts, including some from the Rangers 2023 World Series title run. We got to view everything except the World Series trophy. No explanation was given at the time, but I theorized that the organization wanted to protect it as much as possible. This past Friday, it was on display and I had the opportunity to pose right next to it. I counted this as a bucket list item achievement crossed off. I went upstairs to find my seat and was located in right field in front of the foul pole. Since it was City Connect Night, the Rangers Mariachi Band played during certain points of the game. Once the game started, I was 100% invested in it. MacKenzie Gore's performance was stellar but despite this, he earned a no-decision. The game went into extra innings. Thanks to an error from Angels Denzer Guzman, Wyatt Langford hit an RBI double, tying the game at one. He would go on to score the winning run. The final score was 2-1. I was so hyped up about the walk-off win that I high fived a couple of people in the row behind me. It was the first time I attended a City Connect Night game at Globe Life Field and also the first time I've witnessed a Rangers walk-off win. I attended this game to celebrate 25 years as a Rangers fan. The Rangers game the next evening honored the 30th anniversary of the team clinching their first American League West title. I was unable to attend that game, but I wanted to enjoy a fun evening of watching my favorite team play. This was the second Rangers game I've attended overall and the first since I was 13. However, this was the very first game I've attended at Globe Life Field as an adult. I hope to attend more Rangers games in 2027, if there is a next season. One of my goals is to attend an Opening Day or Opening Weekend game. I am my own family. In other words, I can do any activities that makes me happy without any parental figure in my life. Finally, I want to thank Globe Life Field, the hard-working staff there, and fellow Rangers fans for making this both memorable and enjoyable for me. I now consider the Rangers fans as my new family. Win or lose, we'll always support our team. Don't tell anyone I've said this, but we're the best team in the American League West. I'll post link to some videos from the game down below for your viewing pleasure. Until then, happy reading and Go Rangers! https://youtu.be/1DV-caHl0T8?is=71LVEcRzZSQN_0EM

The Magic of San Carlos. Runner-Up in Twenty-Four Hours Challenge.
The perfect stay in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, starts with oceanside accommodations. I recommend The Hotel Fiesta Real, as shown above. The rooms aren't luxurious but look at the view! It's quiet, affordable, and conveniently located, and you won't be spending much time in your room anyway. One nice thing about San Carlos is that they cater to Americans, so most often, you will find someone who speaks English, at least to some extent.

Finland and Sweden are connected by train again
After a life-long of flying and making airports pretty much my second home, I now believe that air travel has become increasingly uncomfortable and utterly frustrating. If you have been a traveller for a while, I am sure you will agree. Lately, more travellers are choosing slower, greener alternatives which offer a more relaxed and enjoyable journey than flying.

A Day in...Hamilton?. Honorable Mention in Twenty-Four Hours Challenge.
You don’t go to Hamilton; you end up there. I looked over the notes for this Challenge, and I realized that I would have to choose a place that I know too well. Tokyo was a temptation, as was the East End of London, Queens, New York, and a place called Ontario, California (strange to know that there is another Ontario out there). But no, I had to pick something close to me; a place that I cannot escape from.

Charleston, Ho! . Winner in Twenty-Four Hours Challenge.
Meet me at my apartment on Central Avenue at lunchtime in the summer of 1997 to begin this trip properly. We’re taking my blue Maxima, and fuck I-20 and I-26. We’re taking the backroads through Williston and Blackville, Denmark and Bamberg. We’re going to slip down the Piedmont to the Coastal Plain on a two-lane blacktop. You’ll know when it happens, the land leveling out from those long, steep hills on 28, the ones that crest so high you can see into the next county.

Delawander. Runner-Up in Twenty-Four Hours Challenge.
Like Pat’s and Geno’s in Philly, such is the case with Capriotti’s. This classic Delaware eatery is popular and has been around for years and some still don’t know that a Bobbie® is nothing but a Thanksgiving meal on a roll. It’s arguably the most famous sandwich shop to come out of Delaware. It consists of turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce all slammed together on fresh bread. It tastes great and Cap’s is also famous for its Capistrami®, which is if pastrami and reuben sandwiches did a high five, but nothing compares to Casapulla’s tuna fish wraps. Feast your mind’s eye on the creamy, juicy and rich distinction that this seafood delight elicits. Bite into the decadent, luxurious flavors that delight the tongue and drive the mind. Welcome to Newark, Delaware.
