The Magic of A Caribbean Breeze
Fun and sun just for a day.

Let’s prepare ourselves for a journey which promises to unfold like a warm tide across a Caribbean day.
But - what to expect when you spend 24 hours in A Caribbean Breeze? To find out...let us Embark on a trip that promises the remembering of how to enjoy the sheer joy of nature's natural drift.
🌞 We shall arrive as the Sun rises in all of her Warmth and glory.
The breeze and wind changes at dawn. It becomes gold, almost as edible as a succulent ripe mango plucked fresh from the tree.
You feel the wind on your collarbones first ~ a soft heat that says, “Awaken gently for this is a new adventure into warmth.”
The sea is a wonderous mirror of blue. The sky is the color of a bowl of peeled papaya. And you remember what childhood joy, loud and uncensored, used to be like. You become lost in the wonder, reaching out to touch the memory...but reality returns and you realize that right now ~it’s just the warmth on your skin inviting you to be the child who once ran wild and untamed.
Do not forget the sunscreen...please. The sun hugs your skin real close here, but worry not, it's just welcoming you home.
These are the hours of remembering the softness of the wind blowing through the palms and coconut trees.
🌺 Midday Radiance will soon arrive.
Now the breeze becomes playful. It ruffles your hair.
It carries laughter from a beach you can’t see ~ but you anticipate...
It brings memories of fresh fruits, coconut water, lime, rum and the kind of freedom that doesn’t need to be explained.
There is a Reggae concert tonight on the beach.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention that fun comes with a cautious reminder...Remember...Ganja Weed is decriminalized rather than fully legalized. One can be fined but not criminalized or arrested for up to 57grams. Public smoking will be fined. (Yeah, right, good luck with that). Do not bring cannabis in or out of the country. Find out about legal ways to obtain 'medicinal' cannabis...If so inclined.
For these are the hours of letting yourself be light of thought and of letting go. The day goes by so swiftly...soon the twilight will emerge.
🌅 The Twilight Glow
The breeze slows again, becoming cooler with the approach of night.
It wraps around you ~ a shawl woven from sunset colors ~ coral, plum, and molten gold.
It reminds you of everyone you miss.
It reminds you of someone you used to be.
It reminds you that you are still you - just... more mellow.
These are the hours of remembering yourself.
🌴 The First Breath of Evening
A Caribbean breeze starts with motion.
It begins with your permission to let the air touch you.
So, for this first hour, imagine the breeze arriving like a familiar spirit: warm, salted, calming like the shades of hibiscus. It curls around your shoulders, loosens the spine, and whispers, “You don’t have to hold everything in tonight. Set your soul free to be”.
These are the hours of unclenching, unfurling...relaxing at the musical jamboree.
🌊 Night Drifts in
As darkness settles, the breeze becomes a guide.
It carries the scent of discarded mango skins and distant drums...Of Dunn's River Falls and and warm Reggae fueled music by the waterfront.
It moves like a storyteller, brushing your cheek with remnants of remembered tales and folklore myths.
It teaches you how to sway again ~ not dance, just sway to the music as the palm trees do when know that everyone is watching.
This is the part of the journey where you forget the clock.
🌌 Final Drift — After Hours of delight savoured.
The breeze becomes a Caribbean Anansi tale. But beware the trickster which Anansi is known to be.
Let the breeze carry the night gently, becoming a lantern cupped in two hands.
It tells you that the journey was never about distance ~ only about returning to the part of you that still knows how to breathe freely, how to sway, how to glow.
This is the hour of arrival.
🌴 A Caribbean Breeze savoured in a 24‑Hour Tale

Mae arrives and takes her First warm deep Breath. The flight had had been cheerful as they discussed the many possibilities. The taxi driver had been delighted to point out the many attractions along the way, as he drove to the hotel. After a brief rest and a meal, everyone was ready to go for a boatride.
Excited, Mae is the first to step off the sightseeing boat, her braids catching the wind like they were greeting an old friend.
“This air remembers me,” she murmurs happily.
And truly, the breeze curls around her ankles, tugging her forward as if to say welcome back, my child.
Behind her, Danae laughs ~ a bright, ringing sound that made the gulls turn their heads.
But Danae is focused on the Market of Craft and Colors. She wanders into the open-air spaces where every stall is a riot of color.
Scarves dyed in hibiscus red - and the Black, Gold and Green of the nation's flag. Pictures of Bob Marley in various poses of his musical escapades are featured everywhere.
The red-billed Streamertail Hummingbirds, locally called Doctor Birds, the national bird, are shown poised in flight, adorning the walls.
Carved masks with sly smiles reminding us of the heritage of Voodoo and Hoodoo of our African culture.
Baskets of fresh ackee fruits glowing like small offerings of sunshine.
A vendor outside the marketplace offers her a mango slice.
“Sweetness is free today,” he said.
Danae tasted it and felt her shoulders droop with sheer delight. So sweet!
“Now I’m staying forever.” They both laugh.
They meet the welcome smiles of the Island people...an openness in their manner that some had forgotten even existed...and some were meeting this type of candour for the first time.
🌊Kelvin's love was the blueness of the sky and Sea. He felt they held his Secrets
He was quiet until he touched the water. Removing his shoes...he waded in, letting the waves lap at his shins.
The sea was warm ~ impossibly warm ~ it had been waiting for him specifically.
He closed his eyes and listened.
The ocean whispered stories:
of fishermen who sang to the moon,
of storms that danced instead of raged,
of a hidden cove where the sand glittered blue at night.
Kelvin smiled.
“I hear you.”
Rafel felt the Rhythm of the Island. He found the music before anyone else heard the distant sounds.

A drum circle pulsed beneath a cluster of palms.
He stepped closer, drawn by instinct.
The drummers nodded at him ~ an invitation.
Rafel sat, placed his hands on a drum, and let the rhythm find him.
It wasn’t a beat; it was a heartbeat. The island’s heartbeat.
Soon Mae and Danae were dancing, Kelvin was swaying, and Kris was recording everything with wide, astonished eyes. This was his first visit - and he meant to capture every moment on film.
Kris needed to be where the Sky Opens her arms to the mountains.
He climbed the hill at sunset, wanting a close-up view, something he could hold in memory forever.
But when he reached the top, the sky opened like a child's picture book.
Coral.
Gold.
Lavender melting into indigo.
The breeze lifted his unruly curls and whispered, You are part of this too.
He felt it ~ that soft, glowing truth ~ and his chest warmed.
🌺 Midnight Gifts
After the concert, the five gathered on the beach for a final swim as night settled.
Bioluminescent waves rolled in, glowing blue like spilled stars.
Kelvin gasped.
Mae pressed her hand to her heart.
Danae whispered, “Magic is real.”
Rafel tapped a slow rhythm on the sand.
Kris filmed the moment, this was only for himself.
They stayed until dawn, letting the Caribbean breeze wrap around them like a blessing.
🌞 Morning Renewal
At sunrise, the region gave its final gift.
The smell of Jerk Chicken and Festival assailed their noses as they hurried to the beach.
A fisherman approached with a basket of fried fish, fresh boiled and baked breadfruit slices and coconuts to top off the Caribbean feel.
“For travelers who listen, feel the Island's heart and fall in love with her beauty,” he said.

They offered to pay, but he said it was a gift...He was Mae's Uncle, and they thanked him heartily.
They shared the meal, laughing, barefoot, sun‑kissed, changed. Happy.
🌊 Departure — But Not Really
When they boarded the boat for the trip back to the hotel, then to the airport, the last leg of their journey, the breeze followed them to the dock.
Mae turned back.
“It’s not goodbye,” she said.
Danae nodded.
Kelvin touched the water one last time.
Rafel hummed the island’s rhythm.
Kris whispered, “I’ll remember, I have pictures and films.”
And the Caribbean breeze answered with a soft, warm sigh ~
a promise that joy can be returned to anytime.
