Mt. Everest Views and the Sherpa Village

It is well known that Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world. Its height was 8848 meters above sea level. But it is upgraded and now it is 8848.86 meters high. This is the pristine and amazing mountain that everyone wishes to see ever throughout their lifetime.

In order to see the closest views of Mt. Everest, you need to reach the foothills of Mt. Everest. For reaching there, there are lots of optional ways to enter the Mt. Everest Region. Some of them are mentioned below;

Reach Everest Base Camp by the trek

This is a trekking activity. So, you need to walk for at least 12 days for completing the entire trek. The EBC trek begins from the small village, Lukla. You can have a flight to reach Lukla, and from there, the trek starts. It goes along the wonderful Sherpa villages and takes you to your final destination, i.e. Everest Base Camp.

Apart from the mountainous views, you can learn more things while trekking to EBC. Such as Sherpa people, their traditions, culture, food, dress, festivals, and others. In the same way, Sagarmatha National Park is another attraction. It is home to rare flora and fauna. So, you get the opportunity to see the Himalayan flora and fauna of the Everest region. During the rest day, you can go to nearby places and explore more yourself. As a result, you can collect lots of experiences regarding the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Helicopter Rides to Everest Base Camp

This is another fabulous idea for going to the Everest base camp by Helicopter. It provides distinctive experiences within a short period of time. The Helicopter ride only takes 5 hours to complete the entire trip.

During the ride, you may find yourself in paradise because you will travel over the mountains. The mesmerizing Himalayas make you feel very extraordinary. This is a wonderful way for entering the Mt. Everest region.

The trip starts from the domestic airport of Kathmandu. It enters directly towards the Khumbu region and takes off at Lukla where you can see the first glimpse of Sherpa people and the Himalayas. Then it takes you to the Kalapatthar viewpoint, from where you can see the close-up views of Mt. Everest and other renowned mountains that can not be seen from the Everest Base Camp. Therefore, you will stand up on top of the Kalapatthar peak instead of the EBC as EBC does not offer views of Mt. Everest.

However, this is the best idea for those travelers who do not have long vacations or are physically unable but have a strong desire to witness Mt. Everest.

Everest Base Camp Trek and Fly back to Kathmandu by Helicopter

This is the most trending trip in Nepal, nowadays. It includes two different ideas within a single itinerary i.e. trekking and flying. It is just of 9-day trip. You need to trek for up to 9 days till you do not reach Kalapatthar. After hiking back from Kalapatthar to Gorakshep after seeing the sunrise views over the marvelous mountains, you will have a Helicopter flight to Kathmandu on the same day i.e. 9th trekking day.

Then you will fly over the Mt. Everest massifs and enjoy its views. Before then, you will follow the same trekking route from Lukla to Kalapatthar.

You do not miss any activity and the experience. So, the Everest base camp trek and return by Helicopter is a wonderful idea.
