Agasthyakoodam, also known as Agasthyarkoodam, is a majestic peak positioned in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India. This iconic mountain, standing at an emotional elevation of roughly 1,868 measures( 6,129 bases), holds significant artistic, ecological, and spiritual significance. Its name is deduced from the deified savant Agastya, a prominent figure in Hindu tradition and church. The Agasthyakoodam region is famed for its rich biodiversity, making it a hotspot for nature suckers and experimenters likewise. The mountain is nestled within the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which spans over 128 square kilometers and is home to a different range of foliage and fauna. The sanctuary is part of the Agasthyamalai Biosphere Reserve, honored by UNESCO for its ecological significance. One of the most striking features of Agasthyakoodam is its part in the traditional beliefs and practices of the indigenous communities in the region. From there, the trail meanders through thick timbers, gushing aqueducts, and rugged terrain, offering stirring views of the girding geography along the way. The journey to Agasthyakoodam is generally accepted during the peak season, which spans from January to March.
