Why The U.S Congress Can't Declare War On Russia
Due to the bold step took by Russia's President, Vladimir Putin, to invade Ukraine, the US President has ever since labelled Putin a war criminal. The situation between Russia and Ukraine is a little bit complex, and there have been different perspectives on the reasons behind the conflict since it started. A heavy protest ensued in Ukraine in 2014 against the government of then, which saw President Viktor Yanukovych, who was seen as pro-Russian removed from power in 2014, and a pro-Western government took over. That was when Russia started supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine who wanted to break away from the rest of the country and establish a pro-Russian state. However, the conflict escalated, with both sides accusing the other of aggression and violating ceasefires. Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, which it claimed was to protect Russian-speaking Ukrainians and Russian interests in the region. This step took by Russia's President, Vladimir Putin, made 5he international community condemn Russia’s actions and imposed economic sanctions on Russia. Ever since, Vladimir Putin has been labeled a war criminal for commiting genocide in Ukraine. Have you ever thought for a moment why the United States is reluctant to intervene with their Military, despite providing Ukraine with millions if not billions of dollars? A military intervention by U.S.A will be a declaration of war against Russia, which I think the Russian government is fully prepared for. Russia is one of the country that makes up BRICS. Being an ally to China, South Africa, Brazil and India is a huge win for Russia. More and more countries are applying to join BRICS, as Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were invited earlier this year to join. America has been careful enough not to involve it's military in the Russia war against Ukraine. Israel-Gaza war is a typical example of the minimum casualties that will be suffered by both parties if the U.S declares war on Russia. The U.S congress won't declare war on Russia because, asking to deal with Russia once and for all through invasion, means that they have to invade Russia which will see a lot of Russians dead thus committing genocide. No matter how deluded and crazy the world is, the moment you do that, you’ll be recognized as an equivalent of a nazi germany, and threat to everybody. Most importantly, wars are a last resort, for when all diplomatic means have been exhausted and no agreement can be reached over a dispute. Even then, what is to be gained? Resources and lives lost far outweigh any possible gains through war. For the first time, the United States is facing two major nuclear powers, whose vital national security interests are in competition with the U.S. Both China and Russia have the means to threaten U.S. national security, but war with either is neither inevitable nor imminent If the United States wants to remain the most powerful nation on Earth, peace is to continue between the U.S., China and Russia. Like I said earlier, a war between the two is imminent judging by the look of things currently. There are several reasons why it will be disastrous if the U.S declares war on Russia, which i will explain in details below; Firstly, the United States and Russia possess the largest nuclear arsenals in the world, and any military conflict between the two countries would likely escalate into a catastrophic nuclear war, with devastating consequences for both nations and the entire world. Secondly, both the United States and Russia have allies in various parts of the world, and any military conflict between the two nations could potentially draw in other countries, leading to a wider and more destructive conflict. Thirdly, the United States and Russia have significant economic ties, and any disruption to trade or investment flows between the two countries could have serious economic consequences for both nations. Fourthly, a decision to go to war with Russia would require approval from the U.S. Congress and the American people, both of whom are generally wary of military intervention and the potential costs and consequences of such actions. There’re several reasons why it will be disastrous if the U.S declares war on Russia, which i will explain in details below; It will be a stupid but yet bold move if the U.S could declare war on Russia. The whole world whom rely on these two world power will be greatly affected if war breaks out between the two countries. To end the war will be very difficult but not entirely impossible.
