Tulsi Gabbard Resigns.

Was it inevitable that Tulsi Gabbard and Donald John Trump were going to part on non-amicable grounds? It seemed on many occasions that Trump and his intelligence director were not always on the same page on many issues. Ms. Gabbard has now resigned from a job, no doubt over palpable differences with her head honcho, Trump. Trump described her resignation in the following words: "We are a little different in their approach". In what sense are they different? What exactly is Trump talking about?

There was one occasion before this split between TACO man and Ms. Gabbard, where Tulsi was not singing from the same hymn sheet as Trump. I cannot recall exactly what this was over now, but Trump ignored her and did what he wanted to do, typical Trump. Has she resigned because she has issues with Trump's current quagmire, the war against Iran? There was clear friction between the two over Iran policy. This year, Gabbard questioned Trump over his assertion that Iran was close to building nuclear weapons. Gabbard stuck to the more cautious intelligence assessment of Iran's bomb building capacity rather than an outright blanket assumption from Trump. Trump described Gabbard as being "a little softer" on Iran than he is. Gabbard also avoided fully endorsing the Iran War.

Even though she disagreed with Trump, she still left it to her boss (Trump) for the final decision on things. Gabbard's role as Head of Intelligence was to advise TACO (Trump) on what the intelligence community thought about Iran. But Trump, being Trump, might as well have thrown that advice based on information in the garbage. Because, as I said before, Trump does what he wants. If you told him the sky was blue, he'd say it was a different colour, such is the delusional state of his mind or the pure arrogance of the man or both. So while Trump and Gabbard may have agreed on policy towards Iran, he was more hawkish, whereas she was more thoughtful. She could probably see that just jumping into a war with Iran with Israel would prove disastrous, and so in some ways it has been.

Trump seems to be the kind of man who wants everyone on his team to be of the same mindset. Obviously, Gabbard wasn't, and that would infuriate the "orange one". So, perhaps it was best if they parted ways, and so probably Tulsi has done the right thing in resigning. Freeing herself of the toxic Trump environment where he requires arse licking sycophants to pander to his overinflated ego. Probably like being at the court of Henry VIII, whom Trump has been compared to. You were never on safe ground with the king; one minute you were in, the next you were not. If he took a dislike to you for whatever reason, it was curtains. Henry had a massive opinion of himself and could not tolerate anyone who went against him. Not unlike the current occupant of the White House now. Some say history repeats itself, and it seems in this case it has.

Trump yet again says that peace or a deal is near. Marco Rubio has backed Trump up to some extent, but at the same time advised people not to get their hopes up. Meanwhile, Iran has discussed with Oman jointly charging ships going through the Straits of Hormuz. However, the Trump administration has pushed back on this. Saying no nation should put up with this.

Qatar has sent a team to Tehran to discuss the current stand-off with the Americans and Israel. Also, Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir flew into Tehran to discuss this situation with the Iranians. Trump calls Mr. Munir his favourite field marshal for some unknown reason.
