In 2018, our 45th President, Donald John Trump, recanted on an anti-nuclear deal backed by the EU, China and Russia. The Obama era negotiation aimed at ceasing Iran‘s desire to develop ballistic weapons; thusly, the current administration crept back to the age old playbook of reimposed sanctions. Ever since, Iran has continued to incite Western anger and annoyance with various defying actions: such as seizing tankers.

Mr Trump's behavior (as far as foreign policy is relevant) are completely symbolic of the combative stance considered, “conventional wisdom,” by Washington D.C towards Tehran. A palpable illustration of the Iranian regime's common innuendo; undoubtedly, arguing the US as the "great Satan". But, what happened precipitated such profound animosity between the US and Iran?

As anyone of any intellect knows, this story begins and ends - relative to the vast majority, of valuable natural resources within the middle eastern region. Chiefly oil; however, one might observe that the blueprint the United States implemented in solving their dilemma of illegally occupying a sovereign nation is a textbook strategy that they have now recycled on every major middle eastern country hereafter. That strategy today is most commonly referred to as Regime Change. The approach of infiltrating a country’s government (or arming a rebel faction to overthrow that government) and handpicking their own leader in that country to disperse whatever natural resources they were after in the first place. Most of the time it’s either uranium or oil.

1951 - Mohammed Mossadeq. Appointed supreme leader, or as it was known in that time “Premier.” He and Trump have a lot in common. A fierce nationalist, his approach instead of building a wall, protecting Iran’s borders with alligators, barbed wire, or sharks with laser beams, Mossadeq enforced a more aggressive plan against the British Imperialists who were at that time colonizing Africa, India, and molesting countries closer and closer to them.

On his first days as Premier, Mosaddeq immediately began attacks on British oil companies operating in his country, calling for expropriation and nationalization of the oil fields. His actions brought him into conflict; with, not only the pro-Western oligarchs of Iran... who made money selling their country out (oh God. does that fucking sound familiar), but also The United States [and her interests]. Chief ally being Britain; thusly, another renown colonizing ultimate World Power. {sideNote. Apartheid was going on in South Africa at this moment. Segregation was in the U.S. - McCarthy was ratcheting up tensions With Soviet Union Communist Russia}

1952 - The British, fearing another Mahatma Gandhi situation like they had just dealt with in India, turned to the Iranian oligarchs in assisting with Mossadeq and extracting the valuable treasures they had grown accustomed to salvaging. These oligarchs are known as “Shah.” Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlevi was the chosen one to influence domestic politics and create a smear campaign against Mossadeq, which at first, seemed to work; however, massive public riots condemning the conspiratorial operation forced the Shah to reinstate Mossadeq a short time later. U.S.

CIA and FBI watched events in Iran with growing suspicion. British intelligence sources, collaborating alongside the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), came to the inference that Mossadeq had an aptitude for communism and would move Iran into the Soviet trajectory if allowed to stay in power. {sideNote. McCarthy was also rounding up left-leaning activists in the United States that opposed segregation, civil rights, supported freedom pertaining to non-traditional relationships of heterosexual and homosexual nature - labeling them part of the communist regime. This would be known as the Blacklist.}

August 19, 1953 - CIA with Iranian Shahs finance paid protestors on the streets. They hire mercenaries and persuade native Iranians through financial compensation to join the The military. Within his own military, Mossadeq is overthrown. The Shah quickly returns by absolute coincidence perhaps to take power. Signs over 40 percent of Iran’s oil fields to U.S. companies. Regime Change is now a popular strategy for the American central intelligence agency. {sideNote. Queen Elizabeth II crowned Queen of England. Many comment that she is the richest monarch of all time. Korean War ends. FBI rounds up The blacklist for infamous McCarthy hearings.}

1967 - Mossadeq dies in exile. Shah Pahlevi becomes one of the most trusted Cold War allies of the United States of America. Millions and millions of dollars of FOREIGN AID is poured into Iran. The Shah gets wealthy Beyond all imagination, even building palaces and having several child sex slaves. The United States and Iran are besties.

1978 - The people of Iran no longer accept starvation and abject poverty as the people that rule their country, wallowing in their own lavish lifestyle, pervert the teachings of their national religion. Many rebel and take up arms against the Shah.

1979 - IRANIAN HOSTAGE CRISIS. Angry militants seize the U.S. Embassy and hold hostages for ransom. Nationalism, not communism proves to be the most serious threat to U.S. power in Iran. Operation Eagle Claw. {sideNote. The handling of the hostage crisis proves to be the undoing of the Jimmy Carter administration. Mostly, because we lost a valuable ally on his watch; and also, because of the weakness shown with the now famous phrase “negotiating with terrorists.”}

So ladies and gentlemen, this is why they hate us. They’ve seen us implement the same strategy in their own country, Iraq Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan. It’s the same thing over and over. The same strategy for the same result. But then again the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, so...

Now we aren’t trusted. Everyone knows what we’re after. There’s no 9/11 to hide behind this time. We’ve one face to face with our own darkness.... What happens next might be only too predictable.
