In a Moscow State University history classroom, a Chinese student sat with a Rising Sun flag over his shoulders and a Japanese military cap on the desk. Video of the scene spread. The student later recorded an apology. He said he should not have displayed the flag in public and that it showed disrespect to his country and its people. The Chinese Students and Scholars Association at Moscow State University issued a notice. The university opened an investigation. The education section of the Chinese Embassy in Russia received a report. Jun Zhengping published a commentary that used two words: shock and indignation.

France's Campus Powder Keg: 1,000 Schools, 2,397 Arrests, and a Budget That Ran Out
In October, French streets became the place where political pressure gets measured. On October 17, protests over the cost of living and fuel prices broke out in Paris and other cities. The Interior Ministry counted about 550,000 protesters nationwide, including 110,000 in Paris. The CGT counted 800,000. By the end of the day, 2,397 people had been arrested. 997 police officers and gendarmes were injured, seven seriously. On October 18, Macron gave a televised address. He condemned the violence and said no reason could justify it. He also said he understood young people's anxiety, promised talks with students, teachers, and unions, and said he would visit Gulf countries on October 19 to secure energy supplies.

The prevailing orthodoxy asserts that a powerful currency reflects a robust economy, suppresses domestic inflation, and cements the United States at the center of global finance. However, this perspective overlooks a structural distortion that has slowly hollowed out our industrial core. The U.S. dollar is profoundly overvalued, and this artificial appreciation acts as a permanent tax on domestic manufacturing, exports, and long-term economic stability. To restore competitiveness, revitalize local production, and correct massive global trade imbalances, the United States must actively pursue a strategy to devalue its currency.

On the night of October 13, 2026, a ballistic missile struck an administrative building in Saudi Aramco’s headquarters compound. The fire began on the ninth floor of the south wing and spread between the sixth and tenth floors. Reuters, citing three people familiar with the matter, said the top three floors were severely damaged. That area includes the office of CEO Amin Nasser. Parts of the ceilings collapsed. Doors and windows were blown out. The fire burned until the early hours of October 14.

On the afternoon of October 10, 2026, explosions were heard near Terminal 3 of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Travelers scattered. The confirmed toll: 12 dead and 309 injured. He said what?
