Prime Minister: Rishi Sunak.

When Joe Biden learnt that Rishi Sunak had succeeded Boris Johnson he said: "Remarkable". Why remarkable? Well, the fact that the UK had its first British Asian Prime Minister and the first Hindu one to boot. Sunak may be a man of colour, but Sunak racially would still be classified as Caucasian. Biden, however, got Sunak's name wrong. Calling Him Rushi Sanook. This made Sunak sound like an Indian but not a South Asian Indian, more Native American!

Sunak was talking to Sky's Trevor Phillips. Phillips asked Sunak about when he would hold a general election and if it would be in July. Sunak has until January 2025 to call a general election. Sunak is expected to hold a general election in the latter half of this year. Phillips kept asking the same question about Sunak holding a general election in July. However, Sunak would not be drawn.

Sunak has added fuel to the fire by saying His "working assumption" would be the back end of the year. That said, Sunak is giving the impression that the general election may be held in the latter half of the year, however, Sunak's choice of words is very telling. "Working assumption" means it might be but the date for the general election could change. Sunak will be aware His ratings are rubbish in the polls. Labour has a 20-point lead over the Conservatives.

Based on those findings Keir Starmer will be the next Prime Minister. And many will clap their hands the day Sunak and His irrelevant administration are kicked out of office. With Phillips pressing and pressing Sunak on the date of the general election, Sunak had a "Read my lips moment". Emphasizing to Phillips he would not be drawn on the date of a general election. Despite Phillips chipping away at Sunak Phillips could not break him.

Phillips switched tactics, asking Sunak if he were to lose the general election, would he have any regrets? Again Sunak would not be drawn. Sunak followed the lines of many political leaders. Sunak indicated he got up every day to deliver the things for the people. How the people feel, however, may vary. If polls are to be believed a majority of people are not happy with Sunak. An unelected Prime Minister, foisted on the people by the internal workings of the Conservative Party. A man who has never known what it is to worry about having enough money to pay the bills or put food on the table, live on benefits, etc. Married to Akshata Murthy a woman of substance (whatever that is?) who has shares in her Father's electronics company 'INFOSYS'. A man who went to the best educational facilities in the nation. Even if Sunak does care, he will never know what it is to be at the bottom of the pile.

If Sunak loses the general election why would he care? Why should he care? It's not like he is going to report to the job centre any time soon whether he stays on as an MP after losing the election or not. Sunak should he decide to leave politics for whatever reason will always have billions in the bank. He will always have Mrs. Sunak's finances to fall back on and indeed, acquiring another high-flying position in finance, doing after-dinner talks, writing his memoirs, the perks that go with being an ex-Prime Minister, ask Liz Truss!

Sunak is pinning his hopes that getting tough on sick notes will be enough. Flying illegal migrants in July to Rwanda and fining homeless people £2,000 will connect to the right-wing electorate.
