Stop Making People Fight for the Rights They Already Have

The United States of America needs to get their heads out of their asses. The government is hung up on such trivial and completely idiotic laws that shouldn't need to be considered. Of course Trans-people should get the same rights as women and men. The last time I checked, Trans-people are people too. The law isn't supposed to be about opinions. It's supposed to be cold hard fact, so when a difficult, or emotionally compromising and subjective situation arises, the government can be guided into the best objective solution. Americans have ran around their whole historical life going back and forth between giving different groups of people the same rights as white cis males. News flash, white cis males are the minority group in the United States.

And when the community of people get their rights, everyone realises that it made no difference at all if Whitney had the same job as Kyle. Just like people of color and women, Trans people won't stop trying to get their rights until they have them. And sooner or later they will have them. It's only a matter of time. Maybe, instead of worrying if Kyle turned into a Jennifer, let's worry about the real problems go on in the world. Ever heard of something called debt? Well, America has a lot of it. And if America has a lot of debt, Americans pay more taxes. But Americans rather spend their tax money on making Jessica, who decides not to be either male or female, feel less than the 46 chromosomes that make up their very much human body. Cause in the end, Jessica's gender isn't going to hurt you.

Let's talk about Restrooms for a second. I have a pretty good solution for the trans-bathroom problem. It comes from all the other countries in the world. It's call coed restrooms. Instead of urinals that are out in the open, they are in stalls like all the bathroom appliances. You could also take out the Urinal all together, and males can pee standing up in a toilet like they do at home. Because if you can do it at home, surely it is easier than using an appliance you only find out in public.

If you don't want to go make stalls for urinals, there is a very simple solution. It's called the "family restroom," or the "single restroom" It is like the restroom at a house, with a door, and a toilet and sink all in a small little closet, only allowing in one person or family unit at a time.

We could stop called them "male" and "female" restrooms, and call them "penis" and "vagina" restrooms. So whatever plumbing you have, no matter the gender you associate yourself with, you won't scare people when you just need to pee, whether that be standing up or sitting down. But that sounds a little too much if you ask me.

That is the only issue with Trans-people, but it's not really an issue at all. Sure there are bad people in the world, but saying that all Trans-people are bad, and only bad people want to be Trans... it's like saying all those of Japanese descent want to kill Americans. But I guess history repeats itself, because the last time I took a history class, Americans did at one point think all Japanese descendants were bad and locked them away from society. Whether you believe it was to take the Japanese descendants away from those who wanted them dead because those people thought anyone with Asian blood was evil, or it was to make sure that there were no Japanese spies in the United Staes—because instead of the "innocent until proven guilty" people preach up and down about—Americans like to preemptively attack everyone they meet. They're like vicious dogs.

Of course, I'm not talking about everyone. But the people that already have their rights seem to forget that "rights" is not quantitative. Everyone can have the same amount of rights, be on the same playing ground, and it won't run out. These aren't cookies we're playing with. Jessica, Whitney, and Kyle can all have the same unalienable rights that the Declaration of Independence says "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL," but not men as in "male," because this was in old times and they had to have fancy words. And if they wanted to put "all males are created equal" they would have... the Declaration of Independence is written by politicians and lawyers. The last time I checked politicians and lawyers like to be as meticulous and specific as they can. They were saying all HUMANS are created equal. And if you looked up the definition of "HUMANS" in any dictionary you choose, there is nothing that specifies a gender that disqualifies anything from being human.

Now, the Declaration of Independence is not the document Americans look to when when figuring out the laws of their land. If you will turn to the United States Constitution, a piece of literature that rules over all 50 states of America. Over and over again, amendments are put into this document. Every word is written down so unless another amendment comes along to revoke the previous amendment, it is set in stone and cannot be changed. It was written to be followed to a 'T' and the way it is worded is timeless—specific enough to get the idea across, but all encompassing to make sure the future of the land, no matter what future that may be, follows these things the document provides and protects, as well as what it denies and attacks.

The Fourteenth Amendment simply states that all citizens, born or otherwise, are protected under the Constitution and federal government. No lesser government can take away or restrict any US citizen's rights. Nowhere does that say anything about gender. Don't believe me? Here are the exact words:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." - U.S. Constitution, Amendment XIV, Section I

So for President Donald J Trump, or any congress member, or Judge to try and keep Trans citizens away from their rights is unconstitutional. And when a law is deemed unconstitutional, it is there-forth declared void.

You can not generalize a whole community of people by the acts of a few, or the hear-say of the minds of hate and unwant. It happened in the Salem Witch trails. It happened in the Red Scare. It happened with the KKK, and the Japanese Americans being put in internment camps. And each time we look back on those events, scorning them and hating that it is apart of our history. So why do we continue to think that it is okay to do so?

Whether you are religious or not, no matter the religion or faith you practice. It is an undeniable fact that everyone dies. Why are so many people obsessed and deranged enough to care what happens to other people? You have your own life, your own dreams and goals. Why does the gender, or sexual orientation of a stranger, or even a friend, and even a family member matter? So much so, that you are will to waste time arguing and fighting for every opportunity to deny citizens the rights they should already have. Or in the restroom situation, easy fixes are called easy, because they are. Making them more difficult by denying them just makes everyone else have a harder time getting to the same goal that could have happened a lot smoother.

I'll leave you with this. To mind your own business. If you are Trans, or cis, LGBTQ+, or as straight and cis as you can possibly be, that's your own life. If it is not harming you, then it is not your problem.
