Obama as NATO Secretary General
The British have a good idea; they want their ex-Prime Minister David Cameron to become the next Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Laura Hughes, the political correspondent for Telegraph.co.uk, reported in December 2016 that the former Prime Minister is seriously being considered to head the 28 member intergovernmental military alliance, NATO. Hughes quoted a Cameron supporter as saying, “We’ve got to find a role for him - he has so much to offer. We have got to get him batting for Britain again." (1)
Is the US Constitution In Desperate Need of an Update?
Trump's win in his race for president of the United States is a victory that says volumes about American politics in general. For conservatives, it signaled the end of the ACA, an end to business regulations, and the end of politically correct speech.

Ever since La La Land, I’ve been racking my brain to think of ideas for new musicals. Critics are buzzing at all the La La awards, blonde men everywhere are taking up jazz piano and high school kids are dancing on car hoods in campus parking lots nationwide. The studios are salivating to make more big-budget musicals, confident the public can’t get enough of these all-singing, all-dancing spectaculars.

Mein Gott im himmel, what was the president thinking? At his first face to face meeting with German chancellor Angela Merkel, who had friendly relations with both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, President Trump ended up not exactly showing his best side.

Social media has only held sway over three presidents in American history, and, in that time, it has reshaped the political landscape. Presidents have risen and fallen thanks to the internet's influence. Information and misinformation have reached countless ears. Entire social movements have been born on the internet, and reached the White House to influence policy—or resist policy that can harm countless people.

I’m sure that along with me you’ve been wondering why primarily white Southern and rural voters would ignore their own self-interest? I mean self-interest is what keeps us all alive. Most of us anyway want to live, no matter how wretched our lives are.

Christina St-JeanPublished 7 years ago in The SwampWhy We March
To all those Trump supports who keep insisting we are “sore losers” and should get over it. Well, let me tell you this. We are disheartened by the loss. We are in shock, disgust, horror yes but that is not the reason we are acting this way.

It's unlikely that President Trump is feeling the love from the Aloha state this morning. A federal judge in Hawaii ruled last night, mere hours before the Trump administration's latest travel ban was due to take effect, that the revised ban was, like its earlier counterpart, unconstitutional. Suman Raghunathan, executive director of South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), noted the victory for Muslim travelers and said that the federal court order that was now blocking the ban sent a clear message to the current administration.

Progress is defined as moving forward with some success. We appear to be moving backwards toward failure. I thought the era of serfs and masters had been long confined to the dust annals of history, but from what I've seen lately, this is pretty much the direction in which we are being taken.

H.R. McMaster, Donald Trump’s new National Security Adviser, not only has military field experience in Iraq but has done thorough research on quite a number of global regions. His study on the war in Vietnam, "Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, The Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies that Led to Vietnam"was his Ph.D. thesis at UNC, but from today’s viewpoint has more of a historical value.
