With the release of Daisy Jones & The Six in prime video, the serie’s cast has been promoting the show through interviews and stylish attendances in events.

In the same way of playing the hippie, prime video’s team highlight of 70s inspired outfits draws attention to the similarities between the style and the show's aesthetic. And such representation helps generate buzz and excitement around the show, as viewers will be able to see how the fashion of the era is being interpreted into and out of screen by the actors and actresses that played the roles.

Incorporating a true cool hippie, the actress and model Suki Waterhouse has become the non-seventy 70s fashion icon of many, either by her impeccable portrayal of the fashion decade or for the true embodiment of an authentic groupie. At one interview for the publication Steal The Look, the actress shared that dressing for the presentation stage it's her thing, and playing with extravagant pieces is something beyond doubt of happening in her life.

However, the arenas where she connects with female emotions in her songs aren't her only love, but the press can also be the actual show. Appearing in Gucci in London reports, the British capital was the perfect place to rock some Alessandro Michelle Gucci SS 2023 green-emerald jumpsuit. With the high energy that green can provide, emerald was the tone choice to enhance some authentic factor — and, paired with the color, sheer was the fabric chosen to bring the levity appeal of the seventies. On Waterhouse’s social platforms, the mindset was almost the same of her general attendances — knitwear vests, rockstar essentials and some see-through for the vibe were the chosen ones, but deeply, Suki knew there was something missing.

Dissatisfaction towards the preference of minimalism by Karen Sirko were mentioned, but outside the screen Waterhouse can play with the maximalism she enjoys. Differently from the character that she plays, Suki Waterhouse is a “ really, really a coat person”, as confessed in a Vogue video. And, such affirmation was just emphasized while she worn a white coat from Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini FW22 in New York City streets, a long orange one from Gucci in another moment, and the cherry on top was an extravaganza faux-fur from Balmain in another press event.

Proving her love for fur again, Waterhouse chose a cropped Versace gray faux-pelage coat to the post Met Gala party, maintaining her style while celebrating the holy day of all fashionistas around the globe. At the same time the actress maintains herself with her fashion criterias, she is also defiant, afterall. Even though being loyal to her own style is something valued, fidelity towards her character is also a pleasing substance to the singer's heart. Honoring her The Six persona’s style preferences, Waterhouse sticked to a minimalist way of following the 70’s, at BOSS fashion show in Miami, opting for a pastel feathery silk set, that brought a fit straight from a hippie’s Combi, maintaining a charm that only seventies — and herself — are capable of.

Despite the fact that while in the comfortability of her home, the actress maintains pajamas as her go-to piece, causality and limitation are not her best friends when in the spotlight. Embracing more than the seventies style, the model also manages to project other memorable fashion eras in her public attendances. And, such versatile ability elevates her firstly non seventies 70s style role to now being an actual vintage icon.

Just as a timeline, the singer’s style keeps presenting new vertents of fashion history, and the next step was to make the shine factor reappear. Changing the decade, for Vanity Fair’s Oscar After party, it was time for the exact glam that only the eighties could bring. With the silencing of Karen's simplicity motto being done in the actress's brain, her appearance was pronounced in a brilliant flower set from Elie Saab Fall 2022 Couture, where she has given a complete Cher, Grace Jones and Madonna's dancing spirit. With the expression of the disco vibe being that powerful, not even Brazilians were free from seeing the actress incorporate the eighties and its forever icons. During Lollapalooza São Paulo in Brazil, Waterhouse decided to truly be the own embodiment of the 80’s fashion, either by a colorful feathery pink set or for the shiny fringed silver dress that made her the mirrorball of the dance club.

Although all the episodes of Daisy Jones & The Six already have been released, seen and commented on, Karen Sirko will never leave Suki Waterhouse, and for that, the most cohesive decade to prestige her character would be also incorporated in the actress's activities. During her stay in Brazil, the singer also opted for some minimalist looks while performing in Lollapalooza and in a private show for the Tiffany & Co “ tiffany lock” event. At the first presentation, a mini black skirt, black lace top, white tee and a James Dean tie were the look chosen to transmit the 90’s ironic causality. And while emphasizing the chic factor of the decade, Tiffany’s private celebration was the right spot to let her inner self speak louder and add some black fancy fur while magically performing.

While Waterhouse still steps back in time and rediscovers the world’s vintage appeal, she also loves the present, and enjoys the most fresh styles. Just as the speculations done by the Britain Vogue’s-writer Ellie Pithers after Fall/Winter 2023 season, the actress has adhered to the “precious metals” and “executive suits” trends proving her attention to the past but also to the moment. With this season formalism being marked by Saint Laurent;Alexander McQueen and Thom Browne, its glamour was noticed through Paco Rabanne,Rodarte and Gucci — and as the fashion connect person that the actress is; she wouldn’t be out to represent the present too.

With one eye back and another forward, during her time in Lollapalooza Argentina, the actress wore a white shirt and fur scarf, which exactly corroborate with Pithers’s reports on “classic sequence” and “scarfing yourself” trends, seen in brands such as Loewe;Sacai;Prada and Burberry;Louis Vuitton and Paul Smith, respectively.

Some resort reports also have given us some sort of spoilers of Suki’s head at the moment. While hosting the exclusive Dior spa, the musician adhered to “road ready” through leather jackets, “air time” in an eyelet white dress and "suit yourself” with a non-usual suit paired with a maxi skirt. Just as a time machine, she proves that she controls time. If one day she was in 90’s, the past comes back stronger than a trend. While honoring her personal dazzling extravaganza decade, Waterhouse chose one vibrant Harris Reed catsuit reminiscent of 80’s disco looks to “To love” video music released last Friday. Combining Reed’s shiny garment with a Charlotte Tilbury red lipstick, the final result was also revealing even some 90’s chic factor, with a little hint of the so-much adored bold that is her speciality. Either 80’s or 90’s as her main goal to represent, quality is existent on both sides of the coin. And, in quality terms there's nothing better than seeing four minutes and sixteen seconds of fashionable statements – especially when those are Waterhouse’s and Reed’s merit based.

And, by now, while looking at her trajectory of looks lately, either by those that embraced tradition, or for the ones that fight for innovation, it’s noticeable that for Waterhouse the past and future walk side by side, because, after all , yesterday’s retro memories will be the future’s fashion, so why not mix them all together ?
