Made en Moroc was born in September of 2019 and created by Sabrina Boose. The name was inspired by her mother's homeland of Morocco. The idea of creating her own business that would represent both her mother's culture and her own unique taste and inspiration was something she had in mind for years. Born in Los Angeles, fashion and self-expression has been a significant influence in Sabrina’s life. In addition to being interested in fashion, Sabrina has an artistic eye and hand for creativity. She always knew she wanted to create something that could be shared with others who found interest in her ideas and had similar style and taste. Starting a business with no prior experience was the risk she was willing to take to jumpstart her dream.

Not only does her business reflect her sense of style, but it also represents bosses. It’s made for the young entrepreneur and the seasoned CEO who also have an interest for self-expression through fashion. Made En Moroc represents powerful women all over the world. It represents individuality and self-expression. As she says on her shop's site,

"I've always wanted to create something for myself that all people could relate to and use regularly. This is just the beginning of something very, very special. Thank you for joining me on this journey to make my vision a reality."

But it was also made to bring strong, independent women together. What makes Made En Moroc so special is the fact that it’s a self-made business. Sabrina made her dream a reality while still in school studying theatre arts and marketing. She saved up all her money from working at her part-time job, figured out the legal aspect of it, and paid close attention to every detail before its official launch. While her ultimate goal is to source her products from outside of the U.S. as well, she’s decided to focus sourcing in Los Angeles only and not anywhere else. This is to support her local Angelenos as well as maintain the quality of American made products.

As she continues to grow her business, Sabrina hopes and plans to curate jewelry directly from Morocco. She also plans to implement her own designs to her products that won’t be found anywhere else. This will add to the unique style she’s ultimately envisioned for her brand.

Though remaining optimistic, Sabrina’s business has had to adapt to reflect our current climate, as she is unable to restock her items due to the shutdown of businesses in Los Angeles. Being the strong business woman she is, as a result, she’s found a way to keep her business going while also giving back to those who need help.

Not even going on a year since its launch she has used her resources to help create face masks to sell online. She’s also donated to medical professionals as a way of giving back. In addition to donating masks, for every mask sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local COVID relief fund.

Sabrina’s eager for the day the sources she relies on for her products are back up on their feet and running again. Although this pandemic has had a chain effect on multiple businesses, she’s prepared for any outcome the future holds. By having the free time she’s been given, she’s focusing on new business models and maintaining a community online to stay true to her brand’s message.
