The world of fashion is always evolving, and that's part of the reason why it's such a wonderful topic. Just seeing the way that fashion changes with society is incredible, and if you want to be truly fashionable, you'll want to stay afloat knowing certain trends.

While there definitely are some classic books about fashion on the market, it's a good idea to read some of the hot new releases to get a better idea of what's going on. Thankfully, there are a lot of great new titles beginning to line bookstore shelves.

As an avid fashion reader myself, I've decided to make a list of my picks for the best fashion books that you should read by the end of the year—assuming you haven't already. Check out my suggestions if you're looking for a sweet book.

Though I must admit, I love books that zero in on the lives of designers, there's something incredibly refreshing about Fashionary's approach to the industry. This is a beautifully designed and illustrated tome about some of the greatest designers to ever live.

Major names like Karl Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel are included, and their lives are narrated in a beautiful way. It's a great coffee table book, as well as one of the best fashion books for people who wonder what it's like to be their idol.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the hottest new fields in tech, but is it destined to become one of the hottest fields in fashion, too? Leanne Luce believes that it's only a matter of time.

Artificial Intelligence for Fashion is one of the best fashion books to examine how tech changes the way the industry works. This book isn't meant for a casual fashion reader, but it's meant for professionals who want to incorporate high tech into their company.

From learning about how AI can help sales to the potential ways it can be used in fashion design, this book is technical, and yet, equally fascinating at the same time.

Some fashion icons are perennially in fashion. Every outfit that they put together is timeless, perfect, and incredibly flattering. Did you ever wonder how movie stars like Audrey Hepburn were able to do it so effortlessly?

For the Love of Fashion is one of the best fashion books to read if you want to have a classic wardrobe. Follow this book's instructions and you will be incredibly stylish for the rest of your life.

In London, there is only one darkroom that fashion leaders will go to. Brian Dowling's studio was where some of the most iconic fashion shoots took place, and for 30 years, it was the seat of high fashion.

Charlotte Cotton takes readers on an amazing trip through three decades of thought-provoking, mind-expanding, and truly breathtaking fashion photography. The stories she tells will wow anyone who loves the aesthetic side of fashion.

If you're like me, you're an avid lover of Fashion Nova and similar stores. They offer cheap, stylish, and beautiful clothing that's flattering to just about every body type. Fast fashion from stores like this seem harmless, but there's a very high price we're paying as a society for these cheap clothes.

Overdressed became one of the best fashion books in recent history because of how well Cline was able to explain the pitfalls of the new trend of "cheaper, faster, more disposable," and why sustainable shopping is on the rise.

This is a book that grabs you by the throat. It's mildly terrifying for most aspiring fashion designers, but if only because of what it means for your future career.

I'm not even going to try to front. Having a list of the best fashion books without actually having an entry from the publishers of Vogue is a major no-no. Vogue is the magazine that practically writes the rules of fashion, after all.

Vogue: The Editor's Eye is a book that shows how the editor of this world-famous magazine helped shape the way fashion behaves. If you've wondered how Anna Wintour and her predecessors did it, this book is a must-have.

Oh, and a bonus: It also has visually stunning graphics! (Snubbed among the best fashion photo books ever published.)

Teri Agins is an author who has a keen eye on fashion and the trends it sparks. In recent years, she noticed that the way fashion is being advertised has started to shift—and what it means for the average design house is incredible.

The End of Fashion is a good look at why the fashion industry is losing its roots, and why this might just be a good thing. It's an entertaining read that's regularly suggested by major fashion blogs like "Who What Wear."

The 90s were a pivotal point in fashion history, and it's all thanks to the underground scene. This was a true golden age of alternative style with many subcultures seeing massive booms.

Champagne Supernovas shows how counterculture icons like Alexander McQueen got their inspiration from 90s music scenes and learned to love the "weird." It's a wild, wild ride through an era that has become known for a seriously wild style.

Tales from the Back Row is not your typical fashion read. Most of the best fashion books you'll find give you an up-close look at the elites of the world of style. Tales from the Back Row is a book that embraces being an outsider to the world of fashion—and actually makes you love it.

Hilarious anecdotes from someone who "gets it" are what make this such a great choice. If you ever felt like you just didn't belong, well, you will adore this book. Cosmopolitan's Amy Odell really knows how to tell a good story.

Sneaker culture is a huge movement in the United States, and it's a phenomenon that's now catching on throughout the world. It's weird to think of, but there was a time when sneakers simply didn't exist.

In easily one the best fashion books about sneakers, Kicks takes a look at the history of sneakers and at how a simple athletic shoe style became one of the biggest obsessions in fashion history.

Yes, to be or not to be a sneaker head, that is the question. If you are a fan of Hypebeast, well, you will love Kicks.
