In the long list of names for the Spanish national team, Pedrie and Garvey are the most eye-catching.

Because, these two are not 20 years old young people, not weak, that is, to shoulder the responsibility.

On the one hand, it shows the drive of Spain coach Enrique, on the other hand, it also shows the talent of two young players, the 2021 and 2022 winners of the Golden Boy award.

More significantly, as Barca and Spain teammates, the midfield duo naturally reminds one of the golden generation of Matador's three-peat winning midfield duo - Xavi and Iniesta.

Off the Iberian Peninsula, in the Canary Islands, the West African coast sun shines through the lush Anaga Natural Forest Park.

Pedri was born on Tenerife, the largest of the archipelagic islands. In his early career, there was no prestigious youth academy, no legendary retired brand manager, only the beautiful Teide Mountain home and Barcelona fans of his parents as the company.

Pedri's career, like Mount Teide's more than 200 years ago, exploded.

In May 2018, at the age of 15, Pedrie joined Gran Canaria side Las Palmas in Serie B.

Pedri signed his first professional contract on July 15, 2019.

Just over a month later, Barca announced the early signing of Pedrie from Las Palmas for 5 million euros and the return of the player to the club on loan for a season.

Pedrie made 36 appearances for Las Palmas in Serie B during the 2019-2020 season, contributing four goals and seven assists.

Pedrie made his debut for Barca as a substitute against Villarreal in the 2020-2021 season.

The slight but nimble young man showed surprising maturity.

Despite not being from La Masia, Pedrie has adapted quickly to Barca's style.

His masterful handling of the ball and cool brain have provided a new energy to Barca's midfield - controlling, waiting, leaning slightly left, looking for a "killer" opportunity - all reminiscent of Barca legend Andres Iniesta, who has gradually shown his own light.

Pedrie made his Champions League debut as a second-half substitute and scored his first goal for Barca in the 82nd minute of the first round of the Champions League group stage on 20 October 2020.

That same year, on 7 November, Pedrie scored for the first time in La Liga in a 5-2 home win over Real Betis in the 9th round.

On 8 May 2021, at home to Atletico Madrid in the 35th round of La Liga, Pedrie made his 50th career appearance for Barca, becoming the second youngest player to reach the milestone at the age of 18 years and 5 months.

The little volcano spewed fast, hard and long.

For the entire 2020-2021 season, Pedrie played 68 games, which, if converted into intervals, equates to one game every four days and 17 hours -- in the league, the Copa del Rey, the Champions League for Barca; Played for Spain in the European Championship and the Olympics.

Pedrie's gaunt appearance during the men's final at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics caused fans to agonize.

Pedrie's international career has also remained unbroken. Within two years, Pedri had completed the triple jump.

Pedrie first pulled on a Spain shirt for the Under-17s in September 2019. A year later he was promoted to the Under-21s, half a year later he was on the senior squad and three months later he was a regular in Spain's European Championship squad.

His physical tank never seemed to run dry - Pedrie missed just one minute of Spain's six games from start to finish.

Of course, the fans' fantasy has always carried more than the reality of the good, Pedrie than Iniesta is less willing to break through to open up the team, he is better as a passer, the role of the "dream triple double" Xavi role, than the past seen as the successor of Artur, Pedrie is more worthy of the title of "Barca lung".

Somehow, he seems to be waiting for his own "white" - Garvey, who is even younger than him.

Garvey's life was "someone else's child" on the football field.

Garvey, who was born in 2004, summed up his youth at Barca in one sentence: "The first team I played for I scored 96 goals in a season at Real Betis, where I was playing full-back and we were strong and won everything."

His arrival at Barca in 2015 was followed by a string of impressive results: in his first season, Barca won the title in 28 games, and he scored twice against his old club Real Betis in the Torneig de Falles final that year.

In December 2016, the semifinals of La Liga Star of Hope International Tournament were held in the Youth National Derby. Garvey scored twice in the match to help Barcelona beat their opponents 2-0.

Entering the senior team, Garvey continued to break records: On 30 August 2021, Garvey made his debut for Barcelona's first team as a substitute, becoming the fourth youngest player ever to appear for the club (17 years and 24 days). Garvey became Barcelona's third youngest ever La Liga scorer with 17 years, 135 days, surpassing Messi (17 years, 331 days) with one pass and one shot against Elche on 18 December.

On the national side, Garvey has also set a string of records: he became the youngest player ever to appear as an adult for Spain at the age of 17 years and 62 days, the youngest ever goal scorer for Spain at the age of 17 years and 304 days, and more recently, he was a member of Spain's World Cup squad before turning 18.

La Masia has never been short of record-breaking kids, but Garvey has a unique temperament. Garvey has a good understanding of Barca's traditional philosophy of the game, as well as excellent technical skills. As a result, he barely "served" in the Barca B team and was given a chance to play for the first team.

Current Barcelona coach and Barca legend Xavi said of Garvey: "Garvey is a talented kid and the most surprising thing to me is that at 17 he can already compete with 30 year old players. Garvey shows how he competes, his talent and technical ability."

Seven years on, Garvey's journey from academy star to 17-year-old "golden boy" is still going on, and it's tempting to wonder what the future holds for him.

Barca and Spain's absolute trust, so that "new Xavi", "new white" become Garvey and Pederi cannot escape the name.

At 1.73 meters tall, 60 kilograms in weight, and with a lively, flowing style, Spain has never been short of such "Spanish" players.

On closer inspection, Pedri's longer career has made him more comfortable with "sitting in the army's pocket", sorting out attacks and acting like a general at a young age.

In contrast, Garvey appeared several times as a left winger, combining his excellent breaking rhythm with a sense of coordination to play on the offensive side of the ball, which has been beyond ordinary people since his youth. It seems that a new set of "six" and "eight" positions has been constructed.
