What Does It Mean To Manifest?

You may have already heard about the law of attraction. In terms of manifestation, this is very prevalent. The law of attraction, in simple terms, states that "like attracts like" or that "positive thoughts bring positive results".

This philosophical way of thinking is not far-fetched. How do we know? Let's think about it in terms of working out. If I choose to associate myself with people who are like-minded in regards to working out, odds are I will also work out. If I choose to surround myself with individuals who have unhealthy eating habits, odds are I too will have unhealthy eating habits.

You may have heard the old saying, "birds of a feather, flock together". This statement is true in this regard. If it applies to physical activity, the same can apply to mental activity. If I want to work out, but I complain about how hard it is and my shoulder hurt last time so I will take a day off, odds are I am not going to set a good workout regimen for myself.

Thus, my desire to be fit and healthy will not be obtainable.

So we can then conclude, the biggest barrier we have is our mentality and/or mindset. What is it we have to do to get our mind in check so we can manifest (or make happen) what it is we wish?

Follow these 3 steps below.

Set Clear Goals

This seems like a no-brainer, but you wouldn't believe how many people are hoping to reach their goals simply on wishful thinking. Regardless of your zodiac sign or whether the stars align if you want something to happen you need to know exactly what that something is.

For example; I cannot hope to be a Doctor if I hate sitting in class and going to school. Work on the small things first and it will help you to reach that overall goal.

Your goals should be clear, concise, and measurable. Instead of saying, "I want to meet my soulmate this year", think of qualities you will strive to look for in a mate. While also making sure you possess those same qualities, after all, someone has to want you too.

Write Down Your Goals

The first step is to get yourself in the habit of positive mental thinking. Take a few days or weeks to actively think about what your goals are and what it is you wish to manifest.

Then, you write.

You may have heard of the 369 method-where you write what you want in the following order: 3 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon, and 9 times at night for 33-45 days.

Do you have to follow this method? No. What you may notice from this method is that it is simply repetitive behavior. The more you do something, the more you do something.

Whatever the process, it is important that you are reviewing these goals daily, preferably in the morning to start your day and in the evening before bed. This way you are beginning and ending on a positive note.

Take Action

Now that you have thought our your goals and clearly defined them for your review, you can officially begin the process of manifestation. This is when actions mean more than words.

You have now created a visual reminder of where you see yourself in the next couple of months to a year, so how important it is to follow through.

This is what philosophers call, "co-create". Co-create is you and the universe collaborating together to make something happen. If you wish to move up in your career path, then a step towards that would be networking with people who are above you or taking the initiative to get noticed within your company or that of another.

As you continue to take action, it is imperative to your success that you review your goals daily. This will help you to develop an element of accountability for the steps taken as well as motivate you in the right direction.

What If You Are Not Seeing Results?

If you believe you have put in practice the first initial steps mentioned above, but are failing to see results then ask yourself a series of questions.

  • Are my goals realistic?
  • Are they measurable? Meaning, have I mapped out what I want in months 1, 2, 3, and so on?
  • Am I being too critical of myself reaching these goals? If yes, then reach out to a trusted friend/family member and have them review your goals and share their thoughts.

Some goals take longer to reach than others, especially if those goals require you to learn a new skill or break a negative behavioral pattern first in the process. These are all things that should be considered during the thinking phase of manifestation.
