What is it about alcohol that make it addictive? Is it the taste? Or is it how alcohol make us feel? There is just something in these alcohols that make us not wanting to stop drinking them.

For some people, you don't drink to just have fun, you drink to forget about things. Or even, just to get you through the day. Alcohol is one of the easiest drugs we can grab anywhere. You can purchase them in cans or bottles and however large of a quantity you want without being question.

Drinking alcohol occasionally is considered normal. But for some people, they need to drink at least one bottle alcohol a day to feel okay. And if they don't get the alcohol they want, you will get to see one of their worst traits.

How is it being addicted to alcohol? It is suffering, the least to say. All you can think about the whole day is to get home as soon as you can and drown yourself in alcohol. Drinking from between one to five bottles in one sitting without anyone stopping you.

How do we know what it feels to be addicted to alcohol? You would start hiding alcohol where no one can find it and it's easier for you to reach, for example in your bedroom closet. Everywhere you go, the first thing you'll enter is the alcohol section, browsing through different alcohol and putting them in your cart. Soon later, you will start drinking at any time of the day, in the morning before work, during your lunch break or whichever time you see fit. Most of all, you'll soon start to notice the alcohol tolerance you have and not having the 'hangover' symptom the next day.

Going from 'let's go grab dinner together' to 'wanna hit the club or bar later?'. Finding friends that can and will always drink with you. Day by day, you will be so dependent on alcohol and it will be the only motivation to help you get out of bed.

While there's a lot of us who drink just for the fun of it while hanging out with friends and/or family, there's also some who drinks because alcohol is the only form they know that can help them one way or another. Alcohol is a way for them to release what was/is trap inside of them.

I've known a good number of friends that drinks alcohol to forget about the pain or to run away from depression. They say that alcohol makes them feel free and great, like there is nothing else better in the world than alcohol. Those who turns to alcohol for comfort, something happened to them for them to enter this path. Everyone walks a different path, and everyone has a different reason as to why they turn to alcohol for comfort and safety.

But why? Why is alcohol so addictive? Besides the fact that alcohol effect can temporarily ease the feelings you're going through, I doubt the taste of alcohol is the reason why a person is addicted to it.

Throughout the day, without a sip of alcohol can cause alcohol withdrawal symptoms. The crave for alcohol grows stronger and all they want to do is drink the day away. You'll get to hear them say things like 'I wish there's alcohol right now' or 'I can't wait to drink again later' or even 'Let's get some drinks right now', in a way slowly persuading you to go grab a drink with them for their own benefit.

Being addicted to alcohol takes a toll on a person both mentally and physically. And with that, it also come with a cost and sometimes death. You can see a person who is addicted to alcohol slowly changes from someone you know to someone you don't in a matter of time. Nothing you say or do can stop them from their desire to drink but they themselves.

It is not joyful being addicted to alcohol, same goes for being addicted to anything for the matter of fact. Going through withdrawal symptoms is one of the most horrible feeling even though you know that is the only way to get better.
