Great wisdom often appears as foolishness: The highest realm of wisdom

A man of great wisdom often appears slow-witted, which is indeed the art of concealing one's abilities. It refers to those who possess great wisdom but often appear dull, and those who are very agile often appear clumsy. In reality, being wise yet appearing foolish is a state of being, neither passively pretending to be foolish nor passively hiding one's wisdom. Instead, it is about acting in accordance with the inherent laws of things, from the inside out. The foundation of being wise yet appearing foolish is inner cultivation and wisdom, which reflects a deep understanding of the world

Taking retreat as progress, from low to high, is not only an art of self-expression, but also a strategy for survival competition. This is a great wisdom, and if used well, it will benefit you greatly

When necessary, taking a step back is an art of self-expression, also known as' temporary concessions for better choices'. This is also a strategy of keeping a low profile, and those who are well versed in it are truly intelligent. They can use this method to continuously improve themselves and ultimately lead to success.

In a sense, everyone can achieve the principle of 'retreat as progress'. As long as there is a conflict with others, don't "stick your needle to the wheat" and take a smart step back. This not only resolves conflicts, but also shows that you are a magnanimous person. Sometimes taking a step back is actually equivalent to taking two steps forward.

An Indian businessman brought three famous paintings to the United States for sale. Indian merchants offered $250 and didn't sell even if it was a dollar less. American businessmen are not ordinary people in the business world. They don't want to spend more than one dollar, so they started bargaining with Indian businessmen, and the negotiations were deadlocked for a while.

Suddenly, the Indian businessman angrily picked up a painting and walked out, without saying a word, he lit a fire and burned the painting. The American art dealer felt very heartbroken watching a painting burn. He asked Indian merchants how much they would sell the remaining paintings for. Unexpectedly, the Indian businessman spoke even more strongly this time, declaring that he would not sell for less than $250. Missing one painting and still needing $250, the American businessman felt too aggrieved and demanded a lower price. But the Indian businessman ignored this and angrily picked up a painting and set it on fire. This time, the American painter was shocked and had to beg the Indian businessman not to burn the last painting because he loved it too much. Then, he asked how much the last painting cost. I never expected an Indian businessman to ask for $500. The Indian businessman continued, "Now there is only one painting left, which can be said to be a peerless treasure. If you really want this painting, the lowest bid is $500

The American art dealer looked bitter and had no choice but to make a deal.

In fact, sometimes taking a step back is like jumping high, standing far is the only way to jump higher. In the process of interacting with others, temporary tolerance and loss can bring long-term benefits. The key is to silently consider the needs of the other party, putting their interests first while also paving the way for one's own interests.

People who read hope to make progress every day; Business people hope to make a fortune every day. Some people want to take advantage when they encounter benefits. In fact, in both life and work, one should take retreat as progress, because taking retreat as progress is the highest philosophy in life. The pursuit of life is perfection and freedom. If one only knows how to move forward and does not know how to retreat, their world is only half; Understanding the philosophy of retreat as progress can elevate our lives to a comprehensive level. Why not take action?

'Retreat as progress' is not a true retreat, but a retreat as progress to strive for maximum success. This curve method is sometimes more effective than the straight line method.
